Nice choice in Canmore

You can drop a lot of cash on lodging in the Banff/Canmore area. The Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge is a great "affordable" option in Canmore. Our room was large and clean. The shower/toilet room and sink counter is small but adequate. Dishes and utensils were provided, along with a good sized small fridge and microwave. The furnishing are dated but more than adequate. It was nice to be able to park at our door. The customer service was very good.

Comfortable, Friendly Staff, Clean

Exceeded Expectations! We decided to stay at this hotel in Canmore as it was more affordable than options in Banff and is only a short 15 min drive to downtown Banff. The views of the mountains are spectacular as you walk out of your room. Extremely comfortable bed, very clean and plenty of space for the two of us. Also a Tim Hortons within walking distance which was nice for early morning coffee/breakfast.

Lots of room

3 friends stayed at this motel 2 nights for a short holiday. Had a nice sized room, 1 bedroom, living room with futon, table & chairs and a loft with 2 queen beds. Was very reasonable compared to prices in Banff. A quick 20 minute drive into Banff.
Nothing fancy but clean and had a stove fridge and dishes in the suite. There is air conditioning and a gas fireplace. This is a ski lodge but worked great for our late summer holiday.

Dated, comfortable

Booked this online. The outside is a little dated. Room was comfortable. Queen bed, table and 2 chairs, not enough luggage racks for two suitcases. Coffee maker and kettle, fridge. Smallest tv I have seen in a hotel room. There were a few marks on the carpet, but it looked clean. We had a lot of trouble turning the tv off. Bathroom was a reasonable size toiletries provided. Our room was quite warm. When the night temperature was 6 degrees we only had a sheet on. Very convenient to Safeway and other eateries. Not very far from Banff. We stayed 4 nights so we could do all the National parks and be in one spot. I have found accommodation in Canada to be expensive. I thought the room we had was a bit expensive compared to other places we have stayed. We couldn’t use the halogen lights over bed as they were quite bright and hot after a while.

My apologies that you found the room to be warmer than that to your liking. We do have temperature controls in each rooms for the convenience of our guests. I certainly hope you called the Front Desk to have the appliance issues to be rectified. However we have since then replaced the older & smaller TVs with the newer & modern TVs.

We do take pride in providing great customer service and I hope that you would give us another chance and visit us again in the future.

Great location super clean

We stayed one night before our tour in Banff. Bus to Banff right across the street. Comfy bed. Great shower. Toliet needed repair. Clean room decent size. Lots of chairs. Walking distance to Safeway. Big mini fridge in room. Great customer service at check in.
