Recently had an overnight stay in the Ramada in Canmore. We were pleasantly surprised at how pleasant this town was, thinking it might have been the poor cousin of Banff, but it's not. Very attractive in its own right.
Plenty of parking at the hotel if you have a car. Multi level property but with a lift (elevator).
Rooms are clean a quite spacious with all the facilities you expect from a quality hotel. Comfortable bedding & pillows. The train runs along the back of the property, but we were not disturbed by any noise from the trains.
The property's location is only a short walk into town and well with the stroll. Access the walking path at the back of the hotel & cross the train tracks to head into town. There are plenty of restaurants/bars in town to choose from. If you don't want to walk into town, there are quite a few restaurants very close to the hotel.
Breakfast is available for $6.99. Great value & a really good breakfast. You could not buy a better breakfast anywhere for that price.

Parking was good and free. We stayed on the front of the property so we did not have to deal with the train noise. Great breakfast for $6.99 that included beverages. Overall a great stay with zero issues. We found a short cut to the mall behind the hotel.

Room Tip: Stay in a front room (Road Side). You can walk to the Mall behind, there is a short cut over the railroad tracks.

Our beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms excellent size. The only downsize was the train line running right alongside the hotel, plus the noisy air conditioning and refrigeration unit. Breakfast was quite acceptable and extensive - full buffet choices, but a little understaffed to cope with large bus groups at one time in the breakfast hall - maybe it was just the staff on duty for our visit.

I called to make my booking through the front desk. Agent was very professional but failed to tell me that when you get a room with TWO Queen beds that he beds are divided by a Solid Wall so my wife and I had to sleep basically in two different beds (how romantic specially when it was our 40th wedding anniversary!!!!!!!!!!). In addition the room was situated at the back of the building and the railroad is literally right across the Hotel parking lot and train traffic is plentiful although the age did made me aware of this but was not expecting it to be that noisy and the building vibrates when a train passes by. At almost 200 Dollars for a room this is a huge rip off even no breakfast is included in this rate. Please AVOID this hotel I have been in much better Ramadas this was a great disappointment and sure was expecting more from such a corporation!!!!

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel if you want a good sleep. Be aware that Rooms with two queen beds are divided by a WALL

I booked this hotel as there were no hotels available in Banff. This hotel is fine for the $130 to $160 range but no where near a $336.80 price that I had to pay. The parks may be free but the hotels, stores, and attractions are gouging visitors. The room was spacious enough but not clean. Dated spills on the walls and accumulation of dust on floor near front of beds. This was disappointing as we were attempting to showcase our country to an overseas visitor.

Room Tip: I am not sure if room selection is available. This was not an option given to me.
