“Best Hike on Canmores Back Door.”
Reviewed 30 March 2012

There is a hard way and an easy way.
The hard way is much more scenic than the easy way but if you have balance issues or difficulty walking stairs then the easy way is for you.
You won’t be disappointed with the clear blue green water of the lakes when you arrive.

“A Gentle Hike”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

We have done this walk on a number of occassions, both winter and summer and always find it to be stimulating - from the beautiful ponds at the top of the hill to the fabulous views across Canmore it is well worth the trip, and is one of my favourite walks.

Summer can be a bit busy, but out of season there are few people about which makes it more appealing.

“An easy hike for all ages”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

If you want to be out in the wilderness but not up for a steep climbs Grassi Lakes is superb. The trails are well used and aside from a bit of elevation on the road walking in, the trails are pretty flat so you can easily take the entire family.

“Interesting and beautiful”

A nice day trip. Pick your route - difficult or easy. In summer, pack a lunch and watch the climbers

“Pristine and beautiful”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

Any easy hike uphill from the parking lot. Two unspoiled lakes that are crystal clear and green or blue depending on the light.
