This was a great place to serve as our base for our Banff trip. The majority of the negative points are unit specific. The location is perfect, and the unit was well equipped to handle an adult family.

1. Excellent location in Canmore, within walking distance to groceries, restaurants, and downtown. Also, Canmore is 15-25 min from Banff making this a great base for trips to the park without dealing with the crowds you find in the Town of Banff.
2. Well stocked apartment complete with kitchen tools, washer and dryer, had everything that we needed.
3. Gorgeous view of the mountains from the living room and patio.
4. Two parking spots in the underground garage, parking was a little tight but not unusual for what it was.
5. Three bedrooms which is unusual for many rentals in the area. This came in handy by allowing each group to have their own private space.

1. Pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. I almost considered going to the mattress store down the street to see if they had any cheap pillows, everyone in our group complained about the pillows.
2. The hot tub in building C was out of commission the entire trip for maintenance issues. Originally it was supposed to open Tuesday, and then that became Thursday, and that became next week. There were hot tubs for the other buildings that you could access, we used the one in building B but it was an inconvenience.
3. No A/C or fans. No A/C is understandable in Canada but a fan would have been nice to get some air circulation.
4. The bathroom that is dedicated to one of the bedrooms doesn't have a door to separate it from the bedroom meaning whoever is in the bedroom knows what's going on in the bathroom.

We decided to stay here in a condo in Canmore instead of in Banff like we have in the past. We saved a lot and it was only 15 minutes further to drive. Canmore is delightful and we had a great view outside of our balcony of the mountains. There are two grocery stores within walking distance as well as Pizza Hut and other restaurants. Our condo had a washer/dryer, free WiFi, free underground parking, free cable TV, and a nice kitchen. The bed was comfortable. We didn't have time to use the hot tub on the 4th floor but it looked nice. Excellent VRBO stay!

Room Tip: Any condo for rent would be great.

Canmore is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The amount of family recreational things to do are off the chart. We have been returning with our family kids and grandkids for several years and still have not done everything that is offered in the Canmore, Banff and Bow Valley area.

In the summer water water rafting, canoeing, hiking ( more trails than you can fit in a lifetime), biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, helicopter rides, swimming in a mountain lake, site seeing, quad riding, festivals and so much more.

In the winter skiing ( multi ski resorts with a short drive, snow shoeing, cross country skiing at the Nordic Centre an Olympic site with night lightning and tons of trails, ice climbing, caving, skating on ponds, dog sledding, winter hiking trails, tobogganing and so much more.

Canmore Crossing is centrally located and a short walk to historic downtown Canmore with some of the tastiest restaurants in Canada and quaint shops dot the downtown area.

Don't forget Elevation Place, a short walk from Canmore Crossing. Elevation Place is one of the premiere recreational places in Alberta offering a pool and water slide area to die for, rock climbing walls ( lessons and equipment available) library, fitness rooms and lessons, cafe, mountain views abound and is a very unique structure you will be taking pictures of the structure.

Canmore, Banff and the Bow Valley have world class family recreational activities and Canmore Crossing is central to everything and a true home base.

Wow - what a room! We stayed in #413, 1160A Canmore Crossing and the apartment was just stunning. Everything that we could have wanted - and more - with views of the mountains, an amazing bedroom upstarts etc etc. A very short walk to the supermarket (would recommend Save On Foods over Safeway any day), and only a 10 minute stroll to lots of restaurants etc. Would love to return some day soon!

We stayed at Gracie's Place, suite 203 in Building B. We had an awesome family skiing vacation there. The location couldn't be better, with grocery, liquor and sporting goods stores for ski/board waxing and Tim Hortons, all within a few minutes walk. Underground parking, ski storage lockers. exercise rooms and 3 different hot tubs to choose from at the end of each days skiing. The suite was spacious, very clean and well maintained. We had a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and bbq on a private deck, with a very nice view of the mountains. The price was quite affordable and offered all the comforts of our own home. Grace was an excellent host and did everything she could possibly do to make our family vacation a memorable one. We will most definitely return! Thank you Grace!
