The restaurant is always packed as the dishes are very good and in a reasonable price. Services is good but the restaurant is always busy so sometimes it can be a bit slow. You have to make reservations otherwise you will have to wait for hours! There isn’t enough car parks in the same plaza; better just park at the office complex parkings. The dim sum there are also excellent.

The Dragon Boat restaurant is almost always busy. There are a few reasons. The food is excellent. I think they have one of the best dim sum north of Toronto. The service is also excellent, unlike a lot of dim sum restaurants. Lastly, the prices are pretty good as well. We typically phone ahead and make a reservation. You might still have to wait, but you will be placed ahead of those who have not reserved.

Went to Dragon Boat for dim sum with family. Since it was our first visit, we were told to go early because this place is always packed and parking is difficult. They have an early bird discount but you have to pay cash to get the special price about 25-40% discount depending on the item. Dim sum was fresh and well presented and I found the portion larger than places I have been for dim sum. Restaurant is clean and service excellent. Caution: Do NOT park in parking space assigned to other business units or you car will get towed away. Park at the rear to be safe.

Was there recently to celebrate with family. Heard good things about this restaurant. We ordered a set menu for 10 people. It was one of the lower priced ones (under $400) and not one of the high end ones that can go up to $1000. The food was good, Peeking Duck delicious, however the service really sucked. We got food dropped to our table and that was it. Had to ask for our plates to be changed when it was dirty and they just gave us the plates and not take away the old ones and told us to put our old dishes in the center of the table. Usually when you order rice/noodles they give you bowls, we had to ask for them. I would expect this from a cheap Chinese Restaurant, but not here. The table behind us however got VIP service. Always saw servers at their table. The only thing I can think of is maybe they are paying the $1000 menu while we ordered the lower end one, therefore that was the type of service we get! For a table of 11 people the bill was over $500, Next time I would go elsewhere. Other places we would get food one notch lower but the service would be better and the bill would be LOTS cheaper!

Best to go with a large party. Unless you know the managers it is impossible to get a table for many people for dinner during the weekend. It is definitely pure Chinese food; nothing fusion about this place. Dim sums are so so (pieces are on the large side and not refined at all). The reason to visit this restaurant is for the gigantic lobsters (cooked a la Maggie sauce) and the gigantic Alaskan crabs in several courses (steamed legs, fried other parts in egg yolk drenched batter, fried rice with the crab roe). The Peking duck is quite tasty but the pancakes were horrible (dried out and doughy). Be prepared to pay at least cad500 for an Alaskan crab but it does serve 10 at least. The lobsters are way better valued; about cad100 for a 5 pound lobster cut up and piled high on a humongous plate. The steamed turbot is also delicious.
