It is easy to miss this small family sized restaurant, tucked in as it is next to another Pizza joint. But once inside its homely interior, you start enjoying the ambience. Right in front of you is a fairly large sized bar and behind it a wood burning oven.
Polly, our stewardess, rushes up and the name and the image match. Polly is all welcome, smiling and leads us to the assigned table and leaves us alone to decide from the considerably detailed menu.
We have a choice of Pizza of course, Pastas, Chicken dishes, Fish dishes and Steaks. One section of the menu is devote to fresh sandwiches. And Salads of course.
By the time the water reaches our table we have decided and the order is placed. A few minutes later, two thick slices of toasted garlic bread dripping in Olive oil is placed on the table. Something to appease the fragrant smells which have been attacking the nose.
Service is not only pleasant, it is quick. We have chosen the Chicken Parmesan and the Sirloin Steak for this afternoon's lunch. The steak comes with mushrooms and delicious baked potatoes. The Chicken with Penne or with a salad.
Both the dishes are done to perfection and demand all our attention. A meal not only tasty but also quite economical.
Oregano Pizza, you have made a friend for life.
