stayed there 3 days and rooms were not looked after first night and 2nd night. final night late clean up because very angry. different people in office booking in. would not stay there again. I went for work, 2 other rooms treated the same. need reliable staff for sure.
Dear Keith, first of all being General Manager Knights Inn Midland I'm so grateful that you chose our Hotel for your stay in Midland Ontario, however I asked my housekeeping supervisor Tammy if she ignored that room where you stayed for cleaning and she told me that you had DND ( Do Not Disturb ) sign hanging on your door knob which made them delayed cleaning your room until later in the evenings. As far as our room cleaning standards are concerned we clean our rooms everyday and our cleaning staff is the best in town as you can see a recent review in which our housekeeping supervisor Tammy was praised by one of our other valued customer and this customer and so many others are very much satisfied with our cleaning standards. If I'm not mistaken your sister and her family was also stayed at our hotel on same dates you did and I still remember she came in my office and praised me and my staff personally. Room was clean, pillows were foam chunks & only 2 for queen bed. The air conditioner was very small & was not on and it was over 30 degrees celcius. It didn't really cool down until the morning and we turned it on at 3pm. It's walking distance to 2 fast food and 2 sit down restaurants. Breakfast was 3 cereals or 3 different bread or 3 different bagels. There were no larger bath towels and only 2 towels when they knew we had 4 in our group.

We provide two pillows per bed with an option to provide more on guest demand and sizes of our air conditioners are certified by air-conditioning technicians according to room sizes and all our room air-conditioners work if you turn them on as they are not on 24/7 if room is not occupied as we try our best to save you tons of your hard earned money and keep our nightly room rents lowest in town as compare to other franchise hotels and if you have noticed at our hotel you experience not only high cleaning standards but almost all those amenities what you can get at any 4 star hotel by paying several hundreds of dollars in room rent. Not sure how to describe the motel other than very sub par. Sorry, but when the room has old dirty carpet, an air conditioner that is surrounded by mold, lights that dont work, and brakers that trip when one tries to use the light switch, its simply not a comfortable place to stay. On a positive note, the bed linens and bathroom were clean. Dont let the photos fool you, those were clearly from many years ago, the place just has a dingy feel to it and is very outdated. Unfortunately this was one of the only hotels available for the date we needed, and now after having stayed a night I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT.
Dear Valued customer, I'm grateful that you chose our hotel for your stay in Midland. I still remember that you came in my office and told me some personal reasons for cancelling your one night stay out of two and because of our 24 hours prior notice of cancellation policy I was unable to cancel and offer you full refund, however you could get a credit voucher which you would have used for your stay at our hotel on your next trip to Midland but you were insisting for full refund and before you left you warned me for writing a bad review against us which is completely unreal and bogus when our other guests made great reviews during same dates when you stayed at our hotel. If I'm not mistaken my front desk clerk allocated you our honeymoon suite with beautiful round bed and Jacuzzi bathroom which has recently been renovated and it has a very expensive high end new carpet , high end furniture and light fixtures which makes it the best room of our hotel and its pictures on our hotel website are very recent pictures which show its current and newly renovated condition and it goes for double of room rent price of what you paid. I would respectfully deny all your made up complaints and I challenge anybody to visit our hotel at anytime without a prior notice and examine cleaning standards , beautiful furniture and lights fixtures in all our rooms as well as very friendly and caring staff. We stayed at Knights inn Midland on family getaway trip and had a great hospitality experience. Manager was so cool and friendly and hotel was really beautiful and clean. There's a lake view at the rare and picnic park for kids and families , downtown Midland and central marina is close by. I highly recommend this hotel and now on it's our home in Midland.

We are house hunting in the area and booked a room for two nights at this establishment. We arrived in late afternoon to find the office door locked and a handwritten note saying to ring the bell and we would be attended to. We waited and waited and eventually a young lady came over from one of the rooms and let us into the office. We asked if we could see the room prior to making our decision and after a roll of the eyes from the girl she took us to a room which reeked of B.O. We told her "no thanks" and after another roll of the eyes she took us back to the office where she cancelled our booking. I have stayed in many knights inns both in Canada and the U.S. all have been good, this one was terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
