Very poor housekeeping

Stayed at the Midland Knights Inn for 2 nights. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, web site states recent upgrades to rooms. We found the bathroom was clean. Laminate flooring did not meet so therefore, dirt has collected in between. No baseboards only caulking where floor and wall meet was very dirty, doors need washing or repainting. Mirrors and TV had finger prints, so housekeeping not doing a great job. Stayed on ground floor and could hear people in room above walking on creaky floors. Will not stay there again.

      Clean but noisy. First night was quiet. Next night was noisy. Management stopped the loud radio but would not stop the tailgate dinner party.
      We decided to leave with one night remaining on our reservation. The management refunded one night but would not refund the night in question.
      Our bathroom looked like it had been just remodeled. Very nice and new.
      The internet was very weak and almost unusable until you got next to the router at the office. The sign on the highway said "continental breakfast"
      but there was none. Gardens were a mess. Our room door looked like it had
      been beaten with a very mad fist.

      Beware of the management. Has been going to this place regularly for few years, never has problems. However,
      there is new manager this year. Stayed for 2 nights, upon check in they took my visa as security deposit. After we check out, worker checked the room , said everything is ok. Next day they charge my visa for $ 50. When I called, they failed to tell me what's wrong. When I came in person , I was told that I was charged for smoking in the room , which is a lie. So beware, you can be charged for bogus reasons. I think it is a not smart to run business like this
      I would never come back to this motel.

      It is rated as 2 stars so we were not expecting much but we did expect it to be clean. Upon seeing the room, we were disappointed. It was not clean and poorly maintained.

      Dealing with management was as disappointing as the room. We decided that we were not going to stay. I returned to the office to return the key and inform them we would not be staying. The manager agreed to refund us for the 2 nights that we had paid.

      I later found out that they took full payment for the 2 nights from Hotels.com without any adjustment. I contacted Hotels.com who directed me to the property manager. I spoke with the property manager who was uncooperative and very rude. Despite several attempts the manager refused to honour his word or even refund at least the second night which should have qualified under the cancellation policy.

      Despite all this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Midland at another motel.

      Providing clean accommodations is imperative, so to hear about your experience is truly upsetting.       I got a room for 3 nights not knowing what to expect and sure enough the owners are amazing! care about their guests and actually try to get to know you! i got asked to stay in Midland for another week and i had NO problem extending my stay here awesome place :) highly recommend

      We called and were told it was the only available room and it was a suite. It was more than what we had been paying our previous nights in beautiful accommodations along the way.
      What a shock when we checked in. It was a small room with a jacuzzi tub and it was all in need of repair. Furniture needed painting badly, dead lock didn't work and the ceiling fan in the washroom was hanging down with a huge brown wet circle beside it. The tub itself was dirty. We were in the corner unit underneath metal stairs, not a good idea.
      The person in the office when we checked out couldn't have cared less. I did let them know I would be writing a review voicing my complaint.
