We spent a week in this lovely little cottage by a beautiful lake. It was well kept and had everything you might need (other than a washing machine but there is a good laundromat in Kearney so it’s not an issue). It was a real home from home for us and we were able to relax completely. The views of the lake are stunning - could happily sit and look at them all day, and we took advantage of the dock and boats to enjoy the water. Mario and Rose were really helpful and welcoming and did everything to ensure we were set up for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Sandy beach with paddle boat canoe and aluminum rowboat at your disposal. The cottage itself was well stocked with just about anything you need. Bring your food and linens and everything else is there. You will need drinking water but Mario (owner) provided a start up amount. Great respect for the cottage owner. He and his wife has put a lot of thought into this rental to make for a very enjoyable experience. Aside from dodging the rain drops the trip was very worthwhile.

Or family rented Mario and Rose's cottage the first week of October.
It was a very well appointed cottage and the kitchen had absolutely everything you need.
My husband and father spent time fishing and caught, pickerel, bass and pike.
The autumn leaves were just changing, so it was quite beautiful scenery. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, watching a pair of loons swim by.
We also took advantage of the close proximity to Algonquin Park and Huntsville for a couple of day trips.
It was a pleasure dealing with Mario and Rose, and can recommend their cottage rental.

I rented this cottage for the first time in Aug 2016 for myself and my three kids and we loved it so much we came back again in July this year. It's a nice clean cozy little cottage. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare food. The rooms are nice and clean. The lake is quiet and the perfect place to sit out and relax or get out in the boats. I have 3 kids 5-7 and the waterfront is shallow enough they can swim and play in. Mario has been super helpful the 2 summers we have been there and just up the road if we ever needed anything. We will definitely come back again!

The cottage was very clean and tidy, the bathroom was large with a nice tub and shower. The beach and dock were perfect to play or fish off of. The lake was a good size to kayak or other water sports.
The cottage is just down the road from Algonquin park remote entrance to enjoy kayaking. We also kayaked the Magnetawan River from just outside the lane way all the way to Kearney and the opposite way towards Sand Lake until we hit the rapids.
We also traveled to Parry Sound, Hunstville and Dorset to paddle their local waters, all within a short drive. The stars trails were amazing for night photography.

Great location for a getaway. Came up to visit friends and found a little piece of heaven. The cottage has everything you need to make your stay perfect. Seating, great kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Woke up and enjoyed the sounds of nature while having my morning coffee was a great escape from the normal rush of the city. I can't wait to book again next year and spend more time enjoying the lake and relaxing around the fire pit. You have a great place and I will be recommending it to my friends.
