We as a group stay in the arrowhead area a couple of times each winter
Last winter we picked to stay at the tulip and all our group reported a very pleasant stay with wonderful hot and high pressure showers
Very Sad to report but this year was extremely disappointing at the tulip
We took 5 rooms and all of them had very poor housekeeping
All rooms had very sad looking bedsheets and towels
But the worst thing was the showers especially after a cold day of crosscountry and snowshoeing
The water pressure was reduced to a trickle and the hot water was lukewarm to say the least !
After calling management she tried to make it seem like I didn't know who was to operate the showers and we should run the water for 5 minutes before the hot water would kick in .well 15 minutes later and still no hot water ,just lukewarm .
she said her husband would sort the water problem out as he had to go to each room individually to turn up the system which was a load of bull because we know full well they had turned down the thermostat on the main water boiler for our block of rooms
All our group complained bitterly that night at dinner in town about this issue
In the morning the owners said they would get it fixed which puzzles us because if it was actually broken ,we would have absolutely NO HOT water at all ,so mr owner please don't take us for fools !!
What you did was basically a hot water cost saving measure together with substandard housekeeping
The owners knew we as a group were coming and had ample time to give us rooms from a different block as they were almost empty and had their own water boiler system
Judging from other comments over the last couple of years ,I expect to get the standard reply from the owners

"THANK YOU for letting us know and we are looking into the matter and fixing it"
Well ,we won't be staying here again

Ideal location, 5 Minutes away from Arrowhead park and not too far from Algonquin park. But the room was really dirty, especially the carpeted floor. I understand this was a pet friendly room as we had our dog, but it's not a reason for the floor to be that dirty. The wifi was unavailable the whole trip. We called them 3 times the first night and they had to reboot everything and it finally worked for a few hours. But they did not work again and we did not want to fight for wifi. The main issue was the dirtiness of the room. Also no poop garbage outside for a pet friendly place is annoying. Had to keep the poop bags in the balcony for the 4 days. Overall I'm happy for the location but I would stay somewhere else next time I'm in this area.

On a last minute "Let's get the heck out of Dodge" type of moment, I decided to explore Arrowhead Provincial Park. Just outside the park gates I googled this small motel and made a reservation for the next day for 2 nights. The next morning I packed up my pup...YES they allow dogs, so excited, and off we trekked north. The motel is basic, clean and all you need as a base for exploring the area. There are nice trails on the property, bbq's and a firepit you can use. There is a fridge and microwave, cable TV and strong Wifi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the escape, we will be back!

A massive storm hit the area and well while camping at Algonquin we needed to stay dry as our campsite was soaked . This place was dry and clean . The interior of our room was dated and yes the walls had marks on it but the bed was clean and the bathroom was as well . The value for tbe money is disputable . Stay if you're in a pinch for one night . The staff were nice .

The beds were okay, sadly the internet connection when it was there wasnt as much. What I mean by taht is that sometimes not very rarely the connecion just entirely dissapiered so much to the fact that every room was advertised to have "highspeed internet".
