Went on a Friday night with another couple who live in the area and know all the best spots. Really fun night out. Amazing menu with local food. Sharing Appetizer was adventurous - tried chicken hearts for the first time. Fried Mozzarella was the best we have had. Our group tried Pork chop, Fish, chicken and pizza. All were great. Band came on and was such a good vibe and night. A new favourite and we’ve been coming to Collingwood for 16 years regularly. Helps to have local friends who know the good spots

We decided to check this place out after reading positive reviews. We went for dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty quiet. Service was fast and friendly. We were seated right away and had drinks about 5 minutes later. We wanted to share a salad and a few apps as neither of us were starving. We ordered the beet salad, the chickpea fritters and the sweet and sour pork belly with spicy house slaw. They brought the salad out on two plates which was nice. The chickpea fritters were delicious - would highly recommend them. The pork belly fell a little short - it was tough and chewy and you could tell it was not made fresh. Considering that the food was on our table less than 10 minutes after we had ordered it we suspected some of it may have been reheated. Overall the food was good and we would return, though we didn't appreciate being charged $2.00 for them splitting the salad for us. We didn't ask the server to do that and we only found out about the charge when we saw it on the bill. Had we asked, no problem, but it's a bit sneaky to just add the charge when the patron didn't ask for the salad to be split. Overall we would return, hopefully the little issues were just growing pains

Hi Jane, thank you for the review and observations. To begin I would like to apologize about the salad charge. You should have been told about this in advance. It does take time to split a salad and make it look good. I hope you enjoyed it! Re the pork belly. As I'm sure you are aware pork belly goes through quite a process before being ready to heat and serve. So to your point, yes it is reheated prior to serving. That is probably the only thing on the menu that this would apply to. We would have loved to have known your concern over the Pork belly at the time so we could make it better. We would ask that you come back and join us again so we can make this right for you. You can contact me at steven@kingpost.ca if you have further concerns. Thanks for dining with us!

We went to Crow Bar last night for dinner and to listen to the band. We really were going to see the band and thought "why not have dinner too!" So glad we did! It was among the best meals we have ever had. My friend and I had the Scallop/Shrimp special and our husbands had the Lamb Shank special. We cannot say enough about it! Every bite of the seafood dish was a new experience. So many great flavours that worked perfectly together.
We also had the squash soup to start and it was also amazing! I find squash soup quite boring usually but I am still dreaming of how great this tasted.
So happy to have a new favourite this winter!

Yep...excellent! My wife and I shared with another couple. Mushroom and sausage pizzas where fabulous! I had a beef burger (grass fed) with russet fries. Overall, everything was delicious, the service and the atmosphere great.
And a nice line-up of Canadian talent coming to the club as well...support it!!!

Crow Bar & Variety has been brought to us by the folks from the Bruce Wine Bar in Thornbury. Not surprisingly, the food is excellent. We there for lunch on a quiet Tuesday - I had Crow Bar's take on a Reuben sandwich: delicious brisket and fermented cabbage (sort of like kimchee) with hot mustard on delicious sourdough bread. Accompanied by a dill pickle and the best fries in Georgian Bay. A truly delicious experience! My wife had Crow Bar's version of a salad nicoise: succulent seared ahi tuna with hard boiled egg, pickled onions, sticky rice croutons and greens. Outstanding!

At night, there is live music and a menu that emphasizes sharing. Fabulous pizzas; excellent seafood and steak.
