Lovely super clean well maintained rooms and hotel. Asked about a microwave and no problem, in our room right away! Friendly, great location overlooking the harbour, Tim’s next door and excellent restaurant, yummy food. All at a reasonable price. Thank you, North Hotel, we’ll be back!

Taking safety measures
Great, convenient spot to stay if you’re catching the ferry to Newfoundland. Very nice room, reasonably priced, well appointed and clean. Dining room has a terrific view. Service was very slow ... not enough staff on shift. Waited 45 minutes for our meals, but they were good.
We stayed one night. For 119 plus tax it’s a great spot. Free parking and right in town. I’d stay again.

My girlfriend and I spent the night on the ferry and couldn't sleep due to the rough weather. Arrived in North Sydney and decided to get a room and rest. Found this hotel, got a room and settled in for what we expected was going to be 6-8 hours. We ended up staying the night and absolutely loved this place. It has to be the cleanest and friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in. The food is amazing and the view is more than one would expect. An absolute delight right in North Sydney.
We stayed at Hotel North on our way home to Ontario from Newfoundland. We took the Port aux Basques to North Sydney car ferry — which is a great way to go — and we decided to spend the night in North Sydney. Are we ever glad we did! Hotel North is part of a Labrador hotel chain and it has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that people who have travelled in the North will recognize. Our room was comfortable and clean, with all the expected amenities. The staff were cheerful and efficient. Room prices were competitive Best of all, the hotel restaurant was really, really good — lots of choices, well prepared, at very reasonable prices. We’ll be staying there again in the future, and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in North Sydney, especially those en route by ferry, to or from Newfoundland.
Rooms were nice and clean, we had a good view of the ocean from our room and we were able to see the Queen Mary leave the port. Coffee maker in room with fridge. Noise is loud next to the entrance way as that is where the bar is. The Ferry is only a stones through away. Staff friendly.
