After 2 other overnight stops in Valemount this summer, my wife and I decided not to eat at the popular super busy restaurant in town. So we searched for something different. This place had some very good reviews so we drove in.
It is not the most inviting building and its right on the highway so we were a little skeptical.
As we arrived a tour bus was just loading to leave which we took as good news because:
1 tour buses stop here
2 they were leaving
We went in and were warmly greeted by staff and taken to a table
Nothing fancy in this place, it's actually more like a hall (hey you're in Valemount)
We were guided through the menu and made 3 selections plus kim chi
We knew this was way too much food but wanted to try the various Korean dishes on offer
Everything arrived a few minutes later. Hot, fresh and mighty tasty!!
We ate virtually every bite.
The owner came by later and we had a long chat
These are hard working folks that want to please
The downside is that they are too busy at times he says and can't serve everyone due to difficulty getting staff in this small town
Don't judge this book by its cover, it is a very welcome change to standard highway fare!
