I am from Vancouver and have the privilege of having amazing restaurants and options all over the place. I also eat a vegetarian diet which is hard to manage (often) once you leave the big city. I just don't want to eat salads all the time. This place had a couple of vegetarian options which is always helpful! I ordered a lentil shepherds pie and it was decent. The only strange thing was that they used pan roasted vegetables which were crunchy, which is confusing for a shepherds pie. I also couldn't figure out what one of the veggies were - cabbage? a root? Anyhoo, it was decent, not amazing, but decent. The only thing I would recommend for the restaurant is to make the lentil shepherd pie just as you would a normal shepherds pie - in the oven. Don't pan fry the vegetables like a stirfry. Don't try to invent the wheel. My husband got the smoked chicken salad but said there was not much salad, had a lot of meat and too much dressing.
