small, cramped ordering counter, weird set up. food everywhere, difficult to see what's the order of things. I had a blueberry strudel, I think. it was ok, nothing more, just ok. so I went back in and asked if they had any meat filled pastries. seems that they don't. the owner ( woman), barged in my conversation with one of the 2 young men working there and rudely said, pointing to the door, that I should go to Tim Horton's if I wanted such a thing. I said to her that i was only asking what sort of pastries they had and she again very emphatically ( so rude and mean) that I should get out and go to another place. wow. ok, done. not in Valemount at any rate, every again. thank you. By the way, coffee is passible at best, pastries are ok and expensive. no need to stop here for a special stop, you might end up not getting more then a quick desert (no bathrooms worth mentionning) I don't thing they ever thought they would ever sell more then a couple of loafs of bread and a few struddles. if they want to make it big, trip advisor is making it happen. put a smile on your face and rake in the money. other wise, move out of the way. my suggestion. by the way, I have eaten pastries in Switzerland, so I should know. no one every told me off in any of the establishments there for asking if they had a specific item. MEAN woman.
