My husband and I spent one night and wished we had booked for longer. Our small dog was warmly welcomed with a goodie bag with his favorite high quality dog food and some cookies. The cabin was clean, cozy, well equipped and had the best view ever!! We are already thinking of having a family reunion here next year.

We just got back from Terracana and will definitely return. Karen, the sales manager, was awesome and so helpful. The cabin was clean ( #15), cozy and warm and the view was INCREDIBLE. Bonfires every night, deer and bear parading, the Fraser River just outside your door. The mountains are beautiful. We will take friends back next year. It is an hour west of Jasper and well worth the drive. Bustin' Trout Rob was so friendly and took my guy out fishing and boy did he catch some fish.

Terracanna is one of those hidden jems we wish we would have found years ago.
What a fantastic place. I learned about it after some friends spent time snowmobiling there and raved about it.
We did not make it snowmobiling season but this place is an awesome gettaway any time of the year. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Gas BBQ's available for cooking, a first for me. loved cooking on the deck and looking out over the fraser River and enjoying the mountans.
This is a great place central to McBride and Valemount and much to see in the area.
check it out!

For our 30th anniversary I planned a three week tour of the Canadian Rockies. All of the places we stayed had to be dog friendly, as we took our two Weimaraners with us.

When we arrived at Terracana, we received a warm welcome that included admiring our dogs. This is a sure way to win over the hearts of dog owners. Our dogs were won over by the thoughtful items in their doggie welcome packages.

We rented one of the duplex cabins. Our view of the Fraser river was amazing. We didn't need anything more than the fridge in our fully equipped kitchen because we got three generous and delicious meals each day. Our sack lunches were hearty meals for our day trips. Dinners were ordered off a menu, restaurant style, and were plate licking delicious. The chef was talented and friendly. Indeed, we got to know everyone who worked there, from the owner, clerks, ranch hand and the cleaning crew. We got welcome advise on places to see and enjoyed stories about life in British Columbia.

During our Canadian tour we stayed in 12 different places, mostly cabins. Terracana was the clear winner, the one that provided our most cherished memories. We wished we'd been able to stay longer.

I strongly recommend the Terracana Ranch if you want a beautiful location, great accommodations and to be pampered.

Terracana provided us with the worst welcome in our 3 weeks in Alberta and BC...and it just got worse from there. On the plus side the views are lovely and the river is beautiful (watch out for the mosquitos). The accomodation was adequate but the food and service were really awful. We felt as though we were "in the way" and were relieved the leave. A real blight on the otherwise fantastic hospitality we experienced in Canada. I don't know what has happened since the great review in 2004 but sadly, this place is now expensive and poor value for money. Go elsewhere.
