BC stands for ``bring cash``. Another old motel. Price was high compared to what I usually pay but I believe it was par for the area. Staff was friendly but I was terribly disappointed to find mouse droppings in the drawer when my wife asked me to grab the comforter. I put it over our feet but I convinced my wife that it was warm enough without it. I never mentioned what I saw because I wanted her to get a good sleep.
Stayed at this hotel by chance...every other hotel from Revelstoke onwards had "no vacancy" until this one popped up on the horizon near Salmon Arm. They accept pets, so that was a bonus. Rooms weren't anything special but weren't terrible either. Interior was a little dated but relatively clean. Full kitchen was included (although I didn't make use of it). Staff were friendly. All-in-all though, I felt it was a little pricey at $123.20/night for two adults (inc. taxes). But, as mentioned, every other hotel was full and they could have charged whatever they wanted.
We stayed 2 nights and got charged for 3. We paid for 2 nights and after staying one night they would not refund us for the second night if we left. (did not know of third night charge until we received our credit card bill. Dead bugs behind doors, stinks like old smelly socks. (not clean-will not let me "un-click" cleanliness). Owner was never around to answer any complaints, front desk person was in different states of intoxication at most working hours. Would not recommend any humans or living beings stay here. Suspect that our room was used as a permanent residence for the guy who had to set his tent up behind our room so that they could charge for some unsuspecting weary travelers. Does not look anything like the pictures on their website.
Be sure to really check out a place BEFORE you book it, it looked decent on the web but was absolutely disgusted when I arrived.
Stayed for four days and had 2 rooms - bedroom off of the living/kitchen/dining area. Conveniently located for my purposes along the Trans Canada west of the city so was able to pop down to Enderby and area.
Refrigerator and stove were convenient and plenty of cupboards but I ate out while visiting so didn't make use of this. Although an older motel I was in Salmon Arm to visit and not sit in the room so not an issue.
I wasn't expecting clean towels every day but it would have been nice to have had someone check to see whether I needed soap, toilet paper or towels or empty the garbage cans.
Likewise with the bed - I can make my own bed when pressed and it was in a separate room but it would have been nice to have been forewarned that it was the guest's responsibility to do so.
