“At least its cheap...”
Reviewed 18 August 2008

We were making a trip from Vancouver to Alberta (all over) and made a brief stop in Revelstoke to spend the night. We ended up at the Powder Spring and while my girlfriend wasn't so terrified I could barely sleep.

We ended up in a smoking room which made every thing in the room to touch feel greasy. No fans in the bathroom made it rather damp after a shower, walls are kind of tarnished and the beds had a few black hairs.

It was dirt cheap though so who am I to complain. Although I may prefer to just camp next time.

You do get a free pool pass! And breakfast was enough to get me on the road again.

We originally booked here because of the cheap ski and stay rate of $99.00 per person per night. The hotel walls are paper thin with about an inch under the door to the hallway, peace and quiet is not happening here. There was some entertainment at 3:00 AM as the couple in the room next to us were feeling quite amorous and vocal....she was doing her best motor boat impression.
The included continental breakfast was great but they still smoke indoors!! We had to sit in the lounge next to the restaurant because it was full and the staff were all gathered around one table smoking as we were trying to have breakfast. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our recommendation is spend a couple extra bucks and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

We stayed here for the great ski/stay deal ($78 each for 5 of us). We were a bit suspicious of the lack of actual photos of the place on the website, and when we got there we saw why. the building is OK, there's a cheap and ok spa and a hot tub, not a bad restaurant with a hot breakfast that was included. The room was crammed (the fold out had to be moved so it would actually fold OUT) and the sheets on it were dirty and crumpled. No one brought us new sheets no matter how many times we asked. All of this was ok - it was cheap, but the housekeeping staff came into the room while we were at breakfast and stole some cash (yes, we're sure of this), so we recommend putting the "do not disturb" sign up or hiding all valuables even if you go out for 20 minutes. The staff were mostly on the crappy side, but that's the nature of the service industry these days I guess.

we had a good stay at this budget hotel when we came for a ski weekend (feb 08) There are a few pluses: great great hot breakfast in the nice cafe, very good spa facilities, hot tub inside and out.
There is a bar with live music on Fri andf Sat nights and it is in a freestanding part of the inn so you don't get the Bass thumping all night in your room. Rooms are just OK... dated and not sound proof at all. Good location in the middle of a charming downtown. We were oblivious to the problems because we had such WONDERFUL snow for our ski days. The price was right!
