“Interesting for both kids and adults”
Reviewed 25 September 2016

When I was here the first time, it was the biggest in North America after Hoover Dam - not anymore. But still, a good attraction to visit offering interesting facts about hydro power generation, how electricity works; there are activity stations for kids (some are even exciting for adults - you could measure how much your muscle power generated to light a bulb or power an electronic gadget), photo expo and a movie about its construction, you can peep inside the actual power generation hall, then take an elevator 300' up to the observation crest at the top of the 175-m dam. Some funny souvenirs - moose and T-shirts with funny inscriptions in the gift store. Right before the dam on road 23 the viewpoint at the BC Forestry Museum promised to offer a view of Revelstoke, but for some reason it was closed. Still, amazing views on a clear day, though some are obstructed by trees, there are still good spots to find.

“Awesome & Affordable !”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 via mobile

Very neat and interactive. Cold when going into and through the bottom of the dam. But you are in literally tons and tons of concrete lol. But this was so awesome, we would recommend it to anyone. Absolutely amazing facts and displays and the view is stunning. This is one of the best values you can get to spend an hour...

“Beautiful look out!”
Reviewed 21 September 2016

It's quite the sight! Nothing super magical, but still pretty sweet! I wouldn't make a trip there specifically, but I do recommend stopping as your passing by.

“Good place to take kids”
Reviewed 1 September 2016

Revelstoke Dam, very close to the town of Revelstoke, was quite interesting. It’s almost overpowering to look up to the top from the parking lot.

We took the tour from the visitors’ center, conducted by a young lady who evidently worked for the power company—lots of propaganda about hydro-electric energy. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant and was great with the kids.

This is an impressive and educational outing, especially for the young ones in your family.
