Plan your visit so you can take a guided tour and learn where our hydro comes from - who knew there were 14 dams on the Columbia river and this is one of the largest. Very modest entry fee ($7 for a senior) and fascinating displays on the construction and operation of the dam. Just af few km north of Revelstoke

This is a magnificent place to see and learn of it's construction and just what is provides to all of us. Our guide was so very informative, and what we learnt about what goes on beyond this dam was super. Fantastic time there

Interesting tour and glad we did it. I learnt a lot about the indigenous history and also the Columbia River.
Only need 20-30 mins there.

Wanted to go on the dam tour but they are sill requiring proof of vaccination which makes no sense as I can visit anyone in hospital without showing proof of vaccination I only have to wear a mask???? So why not have the same requirement at RDVS?

Learned lots and enjoyed the dam tour. Got to go down and see the turbine floor from the viewing glass and then also up and be almost to the top where they have a viewing deck. Liked the educational displays and interactive displays.
