Albeit this national park is relatively small then some of the rest, it offers a great deal. From its numerous hiking trails and breath takings views, there is a little bit for everyone to enjoy. Located to the east of the town of Revelstoke, this attraction truely is a must see and stop. We look forward to our next trip.

There are numerous National parks all clustered together in close proximity ... Kootenay, Banff, Revelstoke, Yoho ... what a MAGICAL part of the country and world ... nature at it's best

A beautiful park with lots of hiking options for people with a range of abilities! Beautiful viewpoints and tons of greenery. We went first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds. If hiking carry bear spray as this is an active bear area!

Spent a half day here and did a few of the walks. Especially the view of the river at the top is spectacular! If you're passing through the area or are closeby, this is worth a stop!

On a weekday morning in August, we hiked this woodland trail that is relatively low on the ascent road in the national park (the curvy road that ends near the summit). My wife and I spent about two hours (total) doing this loop trail -- an hour through woods, past streams, up and down a few hills, to a mountain meadow. Quiet and relaxed. During that time we passed only two adults (with a baby in a back carrier) unlike the the more crowded sites near the summit. Because of the trees, this is not the site for the greatest mountain views, but we enjoyed our hike. It is labeled "easy" but that did not mean flat, though even as an older couple we had no real difficulty. The trail is pretty obvious, but after the start there are only a couple of signs/arrows -- you just follow the trail and it eventually loops back to the starting point. As on all park trails, carry enough water!. We then drove on to the near-summit parking lot as well.
