Although there is nothing really wrong with this hotel, they are following Covid-19 protocol, the rooms in general are not in great shape compared to when we stayed here 2 years ago and were quite happy with it at that time. The furniture is banged up, the tub had a couple of chips in the enamel and in certain areas of the hotel the carpet is very soiled. The room we were in had a small stove top and cupboards with dishes- which we did not use- and by the looks of the layer of dust inside the cupboard neither had anyone else in recent times. The cupboards definitely needed to be cleaned out. The hotel is pet friendly which seems to be a selling point as every second guest was traveling with a dog.

Karun, the assistant manager greeted me so warmly that I knew we'd made the right choice staying here instead of in Kamloops. Price was excellent, room was spotless and spacious. Karun remedied a noisey neighbour issue quickly and professionally and we had a perfect sleep after 12 hours of driving. Beds were great, windows kept traffic noise out, and breakfast was plentiful. We'll definitely stay here again instead of Kamloops. Thanks Karun for making our visit to Merritt so enjoyable. See you next time!

This is our second time here. We stayed about 3 years ago, not long after they opened. It still feels brand new. It’s so clean and bright. Used the fitness room and pool this time. Fitness room has three cardio machines, I was pleasantly surprised by the squat rack and weights. Most hotels of this size don’t have as many options in their gyms. Breakfast was to go bags only due to covid. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
