On our way back from Alberta to Vancouver, we decided to stop in Merritt at the Comfort Inn Hotel. The hotel is new and very clean and the front desk was very hospitable. We were given a spacious room on the 2nd floor and went with a King suite plus sofa bed. Breakfast was sufficient considering the Covid plan that is in place. I wasn't expecting a fancy buffet. The mountain views from our room and the pool were breathtaking. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway and is in close proximity to Starbucks just 3 doors down! I had never stayed at a Choice hotel before. I'm a lifetime platinum SPG member and am used to a certain level of decor, service and cleanliness. Overall, I was impressed by this hotel and will definitely go back and have a longer stay! Highly recommend it! A shout out to the GM Lalli!

I chose this hotel because was able to get a decent nightly rate and the reviews are favourable. Staff was helpful upon check in. There was a mix up with the site I used to book and the lady at the desk was very helpful and was quick to correct the issue.
The room is clean and beds are comfortable. Overall, I am satisfied and would stay again when making my way down to Vancouver.

Although there is nothing really wrong with this hotel, they are following Covid-19 protocol, the rooms in general are not in great shape compared to when we stayed here 2 years ago and were quite happy with it at that time. The furniture is banged up, the tub had a couple of chips in the enamel and in certain areas of the hotel the carpet is very soiled. The room we were in had a small stove top and cupboards with dishes- which we did not use- and by the looks of the layer of dust inside the cupboard neither had anyone else in recent times. The cupboards definitely needed to be cleaned out. The hotel is pet friendly which seems to be a selling point as every second guest was traveling with a dog.
