You might not think you'd be interested in trains but the tour will put a context to the rail cars they have and being able to see the fine details of bygone era is just great. Something that the city of Cranbrook should be rightly proud of.

My wife and I just had our wedding at the history center in their Royal Alexandra Hall. (Feb. 2018) The hall is stunning, no decorating required! The staff accomodated every need we had and even set the tables and chairs up where we wanted them. The price was very very affordable and included the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!!! How convenient is that?! (No need to rent tables/chairs or set up and tear down on the the same day). Access to the trains and railcars on site made for some spectacular photos as well. Also with several choices in accommodation just steps away, you and your out of town guests can walk! Anybody looking to have an indoor wedding or just take a tour, I highly recommend this place.

Thank you so much feedback. We try very hard to make each and every wedding a top notch experience that decreases the stress for the Bride and Groom on their special day. Our goal is to treat each wedding as special as if it was our own to ensure that all the needs are met for the bride, groom, bridal party, parents, and wedding guests as a whole. And it is AWESOME that you are able to just walk next door for guests for accommodations!!!! We are happy to hear that you had an awesome experience :-)

We took our 8 children (ages 4-14) to this while on holiday! Don was our tour guide as we went through the grand railway tour! He knew so much and was willing to admit when he didn't. The railcars were amazing!!! Since leaving our kids have asked when we get to go to another museum! The "boss lady" at The front desk was so accomadating! So amazing!!! Highly recommend checking this out!

We visited the History Centre on Dec 9th and had a fascinating tour of the train cars in various stages of reconstruction. Don was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate. Highly recommend you take all 3 tours (this comment will make sense when you get there).
