The room was clean and a good size, no issues at all with the room, but the corridors upstairs smelt damp. Decent TV choice, but Netfix wouldn't connect.

One thing we weren't told at check in was that the rooms were only serviced on request, We found out on day two when we queried this. Speaking to other guests, who also weren't told about room cleaning, requesting the room to be cleaned didn't always mean it actually happened.

Breakfast was the worst part. That ran out of items midway through the breakfast hours every day, e.g. we stayed three days and there was no butter or any sort of spread available on all three days. They also ran out of bacon, hash browns cinammon buns and jam on various days and this with at least an hour left till breakfast closed.

The hotel is brand new, so maybe these are teething problems and will be rectified.

The hotel had a query about our payment and I was told about this by a phone call from reception jaround 7am on the check out day and was asked to go down to sort it out. I tried to check the payments I had aleady made to the hotel on my laptop, but the hotel had aleady cut off my internet connection. Twenty minutes after the first phone call, so around 7:20am I got another, rather brusque call asking if I am going down to reception now. The query raised was valid, but had not been mentioned at check in, nor during my stay, so why the hotel deemed it so urgent that it had to be sorted at 7 o'clock in the morning, several hours prior to standard check out time, is not great customer service.
