Strongly recommend Chris with Outsider Charters. Not only did he get us on the fish, but he managed to keep two non fishers (wife and teen son) engaged and interested. (at least I think the teen was interested)

We headed up to Desolation and managed to even cross a pod of Orcas. (although we think he may of planted them)

Great trip.. great fishing.. will hire him again next time we are in town.

This was my first time fishing, and I’m glad I had Chris from Outsider Charters as my guide. Before my trip, I looked at various fishing charters in Campbell River. Speaking with Chris over the phone gave me confidence that I would be making a good choice to go fishing with him. I was not disappointed. Chris communicated clearly leading up to the trip. On the day of the trip, before we set sail, he thoroughly explained the safety procedures on board. His actions and words showed that he genuinely cares about the comfort and safety of his customers. He is an excellent fishing guide and has a very good boat (much better than most other ones I saw on the water.) Learning from him was a pleasure because of his clear and simple explanations of procedures and techniques. Throughout the day, we caught several fish; all thanks to Chris’s knowledge and experience. Besides being knowledgeable, he is also a great conversationalist. There was never a dull moment on board. I highly recommend Outsider Charters to anyone looking to fish in Campbell River. I look forward to fishing with Chris again.
