What an awesome place to stay. It is not a typical B&B. We had our own suite with full kitchen, hot tube and two bedrooms. Walking distance to the ski hill so this winter my family will be back to stay.
The breakfast was amazing! Fresh fruit and eggs Benny. Yum yum.
We truly had an amazing time on our stay here! Lorne and Gail were such great hosts! I'm so glad we chose to stay at their B&B! They make you feel vary welcome and at home! Also the breakfasts are absolutely fantastic!
We had the privilege of spending a few days with Lorne and Gail. The attention to detail is amazing. The suite is so clean and fresh, well stocked and very modern with nice Bavarian touches. After a day of mountain biking the hot tub was great. Lorne and Gail are amazing hosts who made us feel comfortable and went above and beyond to accommodate. Of course I don't have to mention how delicious the breakfasts were. Bring your appetite! This will be our home base for future visits to the Kootnays.
I stayed here in July with my family (husband, toddler, grandma and grandpa) for just one night, but it was just lovely.
The suite has two bedrooms (one queen and one double) and two bathrooms. Perfect for families. There was just enough space to add a travel bed for my toddler in the double room.
The views from the suite are amazing. If you are lucky you will see deer pass by.
Everything was so well maintained and decorated with care.
The breakfast was the best we had all our vacation. Lots of fresh fruits and bakes.
On top of that, the hosts were extremely friendly.
The B&B is perfect for ski trips too. The B&B is situated just at the foot of the Kimberley slopes. We had a great stay here.
Kimberley is a very interesting town, pity the museum and railway were not operating and we would have loved to travel on the little train. Visited fort Steele on a very hot (30 degrees) day, nice to see the old buildings and ride on the wagon pulled by 2 Clydesdale horses. Lovely walk down to the platz on the peak to platz trail. Had a day out at lussier hot springs and picnic at alces (moose) lake, next to whiteswan lake, about 20k from the highway on a decent road but watch out for the logging trucks.
Lots of local information from Lorne and Gail and the tourist info office. We loved the bbq and hot tub and the apartment was very quiet.
Son in law, rich, spent a day mountain biking. Very impressed with all the walks and trails around Kimberley.
There was even a tea-pot which was well used.
Gail and Lorne were great hosts. The suite was lovely. The hot tub was nice. The breakfasts and conversation was really awesome. We enjoyed every minute in Kimberley!
One of the best B&B stays we've had in B.C. The location at the base of Kimberley's ski hill was a draw in itself. But most everything else was really excellent. The breakfast was incredible - along with special attention paid to our dietary needs (most appreciated!). The home baked items were especially tasty. Rooms and bathroom were immaculate, everything clean and well organized. The hot tub out back was well maintained and plenty hot. Just one suggestion about the beds though - would be nice if the second bedroom had 2 twin beds instead of the double, so teens don't squabble over who gets the double bed ;) And twin beds could be pushed together if necessary.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, making for a most memorable visit. Will definitely be back, and recommend this to friends and family who would be staying in the area.
