We traveled here from Brooklyn New York to do some whale watching before going to Toronto for the Blue Jays - this hotel is perfect - clean and comfortable - they had a roll away bed ready for us for only 10 00 a day - plus a free bottle of water waiting for us in the room - the front desk employees at first was sort of unapproachable but maybe because we were American we felt uncomfortable approaching them - when we finally asked questions they were more then willing to help us - we ended up going whale watching and hiking along the falls - great vacation great hotel - would love to stay here again - my boys and I loved the pool and the jacuzzi!

Room Tip: Book on line - they are very reasonable

This is a decent hotel that delivers all the features one expects from a standardized chain...but at a price. Riviere du Loup does not seem well-endowed with new brand-name hotels competing with each other, and our large family suite was pricy at @180/night. However, it was a good stop on a cold rainy night after a day of driving.

The bunk beds were nice, although just in an alcove off the main room, rather than a separate room with a door. There was no kitchenette, just a larger than average mini-fridge. It doesn't seem entirely clear what features come with each room. Also, I think the website mentions a river view, but there is none - unless they mean the small creek at the back.

The pool is excellent for school-age children with some swimming ability. Less so for younger ones since there is only a small crowded set of steps for playing, and the pool is purely for recreation rather than serious exercise.

The hotel is on the north side, away from the other hotels and chain restaurants, but in walking distance from the St. Lawrence (10 min walk, though not very scenic), which is a considerable asset.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was as good as the first. We booked a family suite with bunk-beds. This was a great set up for us. Staff was nice, breakfast was good, and they have a decent pool and area outside for the kids to play. Good stop over spot.

Located at the junction of A20 and Road 132. Close to the waterfront, although you won't see it from your room. We had a suite (2 adults, two children), at the upper level. Very small room for a suite. In order to deploy the -very- heavy hide-a-bed, you have to move it or it will unfold onto the main bed, which is bolted to the floor. Its mattress and frame was a total wreck. It was a glitch, as everything else in the room was great. There is a microwave and some kitchen utensils for those who want to eat their lunch in the room.
Great for two persons.
Swimming pool was good. Continental breakfast room has no cooked items like ham or eggs.
It is a safe bet for occasional travelers. I would probably go back, as most other hotels in Riviere-du-Loup are far from new and you can not be sure about getting a renovated room or not. Several restaurants in the area, mainstream and some high-end as well (like Antoine).

This hotel was both clean and comfortable. The service was excellent as well. Perfect halfway stop if travelling to PEI. We did explore the community a little bit and liked it as well. Restaurants are nearby and you are able to walk to them.
The only thing I can say that I can say was slightly negative was the pool while it was clean the chemical balance seemed to be off. Overall a clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff and great service. The breakfast was good too. :) We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here twice in July for one night each on our way through Quebec and New Brunswick.

The hotel is perfect for an overnight stay, right off the highway. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good continental breakfast, lots of parking.

The town centre is only a short drive away.

The hotel did exceed our expectations. Highly recommended.

I chose to stay the night here to break my drive from Ontario to New Brunswick. It's right off the highway and had a great continental breakfast for those hitting the road early. I didn't use the pool or hot tub but they looked nice. My room was clean and comfortable.
Hotel staff was very friendly and they were perfectly bilingual.
