What a great surprise, do not let the exterior fool you. This property seemed a little plain when we drove up which make us look at other properties in the area first. However, we decided on this property and so glad we did, made reservation from car on computer in the parking lot. From the front desk lady who loves dogs and made us feel so welcome with my wife's ( USA) Medical Alert Service Dog to everyone else we encounter during our stay. We only stayed one night but wished we had more time we would have stayed longer. We had nonrefundable reservations on Price Edward Island the next day so had to leave. However, we enjoyed a very nice dinner at the restaurant in hotel where we had great service and a great meal at a very reasonable price. The next morning was a surprise as well a full made to order breakfast. Plus, free coffee for hotel guests that I could take back to room for my wife.

The property inside is very impressive new looking and very well maintained. The guest room we had was also well appointed and very comfortable. We were close to exit where we parked close to the room on first floor room 253 very convenient.

I know it is Canada and gets very cold there, Snowmobilers Wall of Fame loved that.

For Hotel Ownership:
The only thing that I would recommend to this property at least near the room we stayed in 253 replace the exit doors and level door sill with outside walk. I tripped on first entering hotel as well as stumbled a couple of times while exiting because there is a step down. Also, many sidewalks around the property need replacing, I am sure winters are very rough that far north. and very bad for maintaining sidewalks. Some landscaping up grades would make hotel more inviting from outside. Also, having an elevator in the center of the property would surely increase occupancy and ROI would likely not be that bad. It could be done. I have a Hotel background and have done this type of upgrade on properties needing an elevator.
We were very happy they had a first floor room because, we would not have stayed if we had to carry everything we travel with up even one flight of stairs, we are much too old for that!

Hotel was OK but they seem to have some weird system that puts muliple pending charges on your credit card which could be a problem for some people who can't afford holds tying up their Credit.This is how it showed up on on line banking credit card info for 1 night stay that came to 189.25:Pending charge 289.25.Pending charge 189.25.After several days the pending charge 289.25 disappeared and 189.25 was posted on card but pending charge of 189.25 still remains after 8 days after 1 night stay.289.25 +189.25 =478.5 pending charges tying up credit for days.Then 189.25 posted +189.25 still pending = 378.5 tying up credit for a 1 night stay 8 days later.Quite a system lol

at 39 $ the fisherman plater was so blant and not cook only had one of fish and no subtitue for no clam also tasted like food was reheat in microwave oven one fisherman plater i have try in the area
. i requested a full refund for this meal it is not good
