Stayed here for a week while working in the area. Stayed down in the log cabin type rooms below. Great service at the front desk and staff.

They have been renoed very recently down there with new bathroom and updated interior. Still have to fix the bathroom door lock and screen doors though which I found odd since they would be minor fixes... ok for someone working by myself, but some families may not like the bathroom door lock issue. Beds were comfy, room was clean, good cable tv channel selection. Disappointed though, that there was noise from the other room - the person was not loud, just noise transfer thru the walls which I do not care for. Fortunately, most down in this area were all workers or people travelling thru, so everyone was quiet fairly early. Rough parking lot up top too - drive slow.

Good news for the restaurant, which I see past persons did not care for the food and I was not the keenest on it either. But now the restaurant is being taken over by the same owners as Kinawabi Pines restaurant (which is still remaining open seasonally), and expect to make alot of changes from the current operations. The Motor Inn restaurant was closed while I was there for the changeover, but really enjoyed their current restaurant just south of town. Can't wait to come in next time and have the restaurant back to its old good standard.

Room tip: Try to get an end room for a more quiet visit.

This is the only place where I stay when I go to wawa. The rooms are nice and newly renovated. They are very clean. The people in wawa are very friendly and genuine. You also need to check out the restaurant. The food is amazing and the ambiance is relaxing. Try to sit by the fire place with the huge chimine because they usually have a fire going at supper time. If you are there in the summer make sure to check out the general store across the street. They have a lot of interesting items for sale.

Room tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel if possible.

This is a great place with pet friendly rooms available. We tend to stay here for while driving in northern Ontario - and have had a consistently good experience here.
