Wow needs some renovations. The shower curtain was not big enough to close as a result there was a lake on the floor. I now realize why there is a black stain around the toilet. It is obviously black mold. There is also mold in the shower. I can't understand how there can be mold in a motel when it is supposed to be cleaned every time someone uses that room. Also I did not find the front staff very helpful. Could not check in until 5 pm. They would not even allow us to get registered so when the room was ready we were all set.

We chose this place because we stayed here in the past and the price was reasonable. This time we were in the Log Cabin section. The rooms were very large, spotless and very well decorated. The beds were comfy andthe bathroom looked newly renovated. The only downside was that as thick as the walls looked, noise travels right through them. We didn't use the restaurant because it was closed for some reason during our stay.

Room Tip: The log cabins are a good choice for families with children.

Back again for one night this winter and stayed at the main hotel. All the rooms have a facelift with new carpet, paint, trim, curtains, and baths less the tub which was change a few years back and is still pretty new. Service up front seems better than in the summer too. The restaurant is now open and saw the same owners from Kinniwabi Pines there with the excellent food to match. The variety is good with standard Canadian dishes, but also have some more exautic foods like bison or elk. Can't wait to go back - the restaurant is renoed too - no holy carpets anymore - if they could get the lounge chairs changed by the fireplace - it would be the finishing touch.

Room Tip: Stay away from the one on the south end as it is by the side driveway and early morning leavers will bother you a bit. Otherwise any other is good.

Stayed here for a week while working in the area. Stayed down in the log cabin type rooms below. Great service at the front desk and staff.

They have been renoed very recently down there with new bathroom and updated interior. Still have to fix the bathroom door lock and screen doors though which I found odd since they would be minor fixes... ok for someone working by myself, but some families may not like the bathroom door lock issue. Beds were comfy, room was clean, good cable tv channel selection. Disappointed though, that there was noise from the other room - the person was not loud, just noise transfer thru the walls which I do not care for. Fortunately, most down in this area were all workers or people travelling thru, so everyone was quiet fairly early. Rough parking lot up top too - drive slow.

Good news for the restaurant, which I see past persons did not care for the food and I was not the keenest on it either. But now the restaurant is being taken over by the same owners as Kinawabi Pines restaurant (which is still remaining open seasonally), and expect to make alot of changes from the current operations. The Motor Inn restaurant was closed while I was there for the changeover, but really enjoyed their current restaurant just south of town. Can't wait to come in next time and have the restaurant back to its old good standard.

Room Tip: Try to get an end room for a more quiet visit.
