The indoor decor is very bright and pleasant, with windows on both sides, and comfortable seating. Cold fresh water bottle arrives right away, home baked bread rolls with poppy seeds, and butter in a small dish. The service is courteous, friendly, and they do care that you actually enjoy your meal,

They have a special lunch combination of either a salad or soup and main dish, or a main dish with desert. I chose the second.

The main dish was Salmon with Bok-Choy, roasted squash, creamed buttercup purée, chestnut sauce, and pink-grapefruit pulp. Every morsel on the plate was tasty. The combination of such a variety of tastes and colours on the plate was amazing. The little bread rolls, were very good and served with un-salted butter.

The desert of apple in caramel sauce with a slice of butter cake topped with a fruity sorbet scoop, and another scoop of very fluffy whipped apple.

The long-espresso was good and it was served with a small chocolate truffle and an apricot jelly square, all done in house.

It was a magnificent experience of taste blends.

This restaurant could not be any better. Ive been there on 3 seperate occasions and all 3 times I was blown away at how incredible everything was. Its an experience to go there. The food portions seem small at first glance but when you finish youre full and content. Each plate is a perfect balance of flavours. Atmosphere is very charming and serene, the waitress we had was amazing!!! If you want an excellent meal with a nice experience this is the place to go.

Our expectations were high on entering this restaurant having heard about the chef from his restaurant in montreal. I can say The food was good, portion sizes a little small in relation to the price. What really dissapointed was the service. Unfriendly and cold is the best description. Almost as if it was a bother to serve us. Not the case for the regulars that were there at the same time as us. Left feeling unappreciated, not a good feeling when we spent quite a bit of money in this establishment.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Val David featuring local produce prepared in a unique combination of flavors and presented as a delicate masterpiece of edible art. But do not be mislead, the portions are very adequate. We have been there often for supper, breakfast ( which again is different and very tasty) ; as well as lunch which is also quite lovely. There are always little sweet surprises with the coffee, a nice finishing touch making it a even more pleasant and memorable experience. Service is very good and the staff is very attentive. The decor is calming and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming .

La Table des Gourmets opened only two weeks ago and it's already very busy. This 30 seats restaurant is owned by the same family who was running La Porte on St Laurent Boulevard in Montreal.
It's still the same team in the kitchen and the wife running the front of the house.
They use only products from local farmers and growers.
The menu is shorter than in the past but preparation and presentation are both outstanding.
My companion and I started with a foie gras mi-cuit. Perfect taste.
I had the guinea-fowl. Leg confied and the breast perfectly poached and then roasted. It was garnished with a corn puree as well as local beans. The jus was incredible.
My companion had the Gaspor pork belly and lobster. Hudge portion with a crispy and juicy pork-belly. A perfectly poached lobster with an amazing sauce.

I had their traditional Kouing Amann with ice cream for dessert. My companion was more adventureous and selected a superb raspberry and red pepper sherbet with various chocolate garnishes. Extremely tasty and very well executed.
Guimauves and chocolate squares were brought with the coffee.

A very serious addition to the region. Not to be missed. They apparently serve brunch on Sunday and are open Sunday night as well.
We sure shall be back.
Reservation is a must as the place is already very busy.
