“EASTER WEEKEND”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

Our family of 4 along with my parents spent a most excellent week end at this gorgeous resort.
Everything (except a cook haha) was spectacular including the view which was i believe hole 9.
Our condo included A and B which provided everyone with space and privacy. I would recommend and plan on returning. We brought an XBOX 360 with connect and had plenty of room for all to play and laugh. The resort even had an easter egg hunt for those with young children.

We stayed in 435 a 2 bedroom very large condo type unit. Check in was very quick and friendly. This is a two story unit with two bedrooms and full baths upstairs. The main level is very large with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and half bath. The main deck overrlooks the 9th fairway@ Radium Springs golf course and the Purcell mountains. Upstairs is a small deck that faces the resort and the Rocky Mountains. All furnishings, linens, towels, etc. are upscale. You feel at home here quickly as everything you need is here, just bring your food and clothing.
Radium and Fairmont hot springs are nearby. Invermere is the only 10 minutes away for any shopping that you would like. In the winter lots of skiing, snowmobiling, and other winter sports are nearby. In the summer there is lots of golfing, hiking, and the beautiful Windermere Lake.
We were here this time from Mar 18 - Mar 24. The resort was very quiet with few guests. Enjoyed the rest, the hot springs, and may walks. I would like to see a exercise center, resterant, and indoor pool added, but otherwise very very nice.

Room Tip: The newer units are even nicer

We have just spent one night at Bighorn Meadows and we loved it. We have two small kids and the room is very spacious. Having a complete kitchen helps a lot when you travel with kids. We had everything we need.

When booking I had asked for a room with a view and boy they didn't disappoint! As far as what the room had to offer, everything was top of the line. We had a 1 bedroom suite, the bedroom was very roomy with a king size bed, two closets, and a tv. It had a door going directly to the bathroom which for me was a huge bonus! The bathroom as well was very spacious with a jetted tub, lots of counter space and a huge mirror. Next was out kitchen / living space. Again we had lots of space, kitchen was great. Had everything and anything you would need to cook your own meals. TIP: pick up groceries in Invermere or somewhere else on the way in, those items are grossly over priced in Radium. I loved that we even had a dish washer! That's something I don't even have at home. Sitting area was nice, couch with a couple cozy chairs. Fireplace, Flat screen tv and a DVD player. (they charge for movie rentals now so maybe just bring along a couple of your own if you want to). From there we could step out onto our huge balcony! It had a patio table with seating for 4 plus the BBQ and there was still plenty of space. We absolutely loved our stay here. It is a bit pricey during the 'busy' season, but we went when it was nice and quite and were able to get a sweet deal. I would go back in a heartbeat, and have already started looking into staying at some of there other properties.

There are good deals in winter when the golf season's over
nice condo, big BBQ, full kitchen and appliances, fireplace, jacuzzi, heated floor, hot tub etc . .

There ain't much to do in Radium besides looking at big horns on the golf course and dipping in the hot springs, so bring your own groceries and relax at this nice condo complex

We stayed here a couple days over Christmas for a snowmobiling trip. We have stayed here before and always enjoyed it. The rooms are nicely done with granite countertops, king sized beds and huge showers.
We stayed in Building 800 this time while in the past have been in Buildings 300 and 400. The difference is that the newer buidlings are built more like apartments and the older buidlings more like townhomes. What we founds was that with the apartment above us we could hear everytime they moved their chairs and when the turned the TV/stereo on. Not too bad, but not as nice as the older buildings where there is very little noise from adjacent units.
If visiting in the winter you need to know that there is very little for restaurant options in Radium. We had breakfast at La Cabina in the Prestige Inn and it was fine. There are many more options in Invemere which is only about 15 minutes down the road.
We ate at the Old Salzberg in Radium for dinner one evening. We have eaten here before on a number of occasions and never been disappointed with the meal.
The pool and hotbut aren't anything special, but they serve the purpose when you have sore muscles after a day out on the slopes (or sleds in our case)
I thoroughly enjoy Bighorn Meadows and will return, however, I will request one of the older buildings next time.
