Description: Family owned and operated, Chez Fatima is a place where you can discover the delicate seasonings of Moroccan cuisine. During lunch hours we serve a buffet featuring a wide variety of Moroccan salads and warm dishes. As of summer 2015, we are expanding our menu to include more Mediterranean food. This expansion includes a revamped lunch menu, buffet and the addition of Frank Bartha in the kitchen.

The food was absolutely delicious! Our family enjoyed the buffet and was able to sample many different fresh dishes. Our favorites were the lamb, beets and baklava! The people treated us very well and made us feel welcome in their restaurant. We will be back the next time we are in Gatineau!

We had a wonderful dinner last week at La Fatima. We were welcomed by Fatima, asked if we had any questions about the menu and treated to wonderful food and great service. We ended up trying the buffet because we could not choose one thing and wanted to try many dishes and were not disappointed. Very family home environment, tasty, wonderfully prepared food. We will be back.

I was never a huge fan of Moroccon food myself, but I had to try this place because of how much I'd heard of it. And I'm glad I did. The food was really tasty and genuinely felt like a home cooked meal. The chef herself was EXTREMELY nice and friendly making sure everyone was enjoying their food and had all they need. She really seems to be someone passionate about what she does. The restaurant is definitely worth trying, for their food and for that sweet lady.

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and the menu was fully explained to us. We started our evening with a pastilla with chicken and almonds. It was exquisite and highly recommended. For main courses, 2 of us chose chicken tagine, one sweet and one savoury while the third person chose couscous. For the latter, Fatima came out of the kitchen to personalize the couscous to her liking. All three dishes were amazing.

The personalised service provided by Fatima and her partner was next to none. The offer for us to try the soup, salad and dessert from the buffet even though we ordered a la carte was delightful. Everything we tasted was delicious. I would certainly eat there again and recommend it to friends.

We went there a Saturday around 7:30pm. It was packed and they were understaffed. It took a bit of time to have water served and our order taken. We were not impressed. But then, Fatima came to our table, told us that had been surprised by the crowd and proceeded to take care of us (she actually did this for all tables). The food was amazing and we actually got out of there feeling that the service was amazing, despite the rough start! After the first shrimp from the buffer, my 9-year-old told me that she is planning on going to Chez Fatima for her birthday dinner (in November!)! The Moroccan wine was delicious, the pastilla was super tasty and the while meal was great!
