Two Bluebird days at Fernie, unfortunately, no fresh snow, but what was there was pretty well groomed....plenty of space to have your own trail....
Wide range of terrain to ski, from bowls ( FIVE of them) to chutes to glades...
30% green, 40% blue 30%black, longest trail: 3 miles...
Friendly atmosphere. Lifts were smooth running. Lost Boys Cafe was only "lodge" up on the mountain with a deck, view, and some basic tasty eats. (Deck should be more in sunshine...and there should always be a place to warm one's hands and toes....but no.)
There was also "Bears Den" on the mountain for food, but not much view.
Best was to get up Polar Peak chair: incredible view.

Ferni Ski Resort offers amazing ski experience but it's for more advance skiers due to more difficult runs if you compare to other resorts. Incredible views, long runs and mostly not groomed. Only "home runs" are groomed. We spent 4 days skiing all runs unfortunately runs were very icy due to warm weather daytime and cold at night. Last Thursday even was raining and windy. Take into consideration that the weather can change very quickly. Ferni is still the best!! We hope next time weather will be better and snow will be soft and fluffy. It was worth to drive 1200 km.

We spent 3 days skiing at Fernie at the beginning of March. Incredible conditions! It snowed every day that we were there. Awesome terrain and not crowded!

very low key friendly atmosphere. Had wanted to visit Fernie for years. Loved the vibe and conversations on chairlift with fellow boarder/skiers. It helped the resort had received 40" of snow over the week, so conditions were excellent. Absolutely stunning views as well.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay on the hill. Friday was a tough day due to the warm temperatures and the rain, but Saturday made up for it. Our group had a great time Ann’s the hill offered adequate terrain for everyone.
