We booked this hotel based on a bit of research I did. And it paid. It turned out to be a nice hotel overall. Located right on Crowsnest Highway at the centre of the town, it has a unique look inside. Surrounded by the rooms, it has a well decorated lobby and a swimming pool inside the building. There is a glass wall elevator that offers a nice view when one is going up or down.

With friendly front desk staff, check in was hassle-free. The room we stayed in was pretty nice with a huge balcony lined with flower pots. This hotel has a bistro and an attached pub. We visited the pub for drinks and dinner in the evening and enjoyed our time and food. The next morning we went to the bistro for breakfast. There were several breakfast menus to choose from. I enjoyed the “Traditional Two Eggs” breakfast that was served with bacon. My wife ordered “Avocado Toast & Eggs” which she didn’t like much though.

However, there were two things we didn’t like, which adversely affected our impression. A substantial part of the leather like black covering on one arm of the chair was eroded off (apparently from rubbing) exposing the while material underneath. And there was a long black scratch-like mark on the washbasin. These are not expected in such an otherwise nice hotel.

Very good king room with lots or space and a good bathroom. Has a pool sauna and hot tub. Good breakfast made to order overall a very comfortable place to stay and close to amenities of the town. Friendly staff. Coffee in lobby in morning. Good .

Received a really warm welcome at check in. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, especially considering it was complimentary. The hotel is a short walk into town. The only downside was that our room (210) was next to the fire escape and the fire door kept banging as people took a short cut from 6.00 am.

Room tip: Avoid rooms next to fire exit

Nice hotel with great views and good location. It's easily walkable to the centre of town in a few mins, and the hotel has some commanding views of the majestic mountains in the background.
The room was very large and spacious, with comfortable but older furnishings. The hotel feels a little old, but is rustic and nice. Breakfast was okay, and there's a pub next door which is good too. Staff were helpful and friendly.
I'd probably stay here again when I return. Nice spot with a good balcony too!
