On our last stay at the Comfort Inn on Bateman Ave, in Edmundston, NB we were a bit surprised to see a new building not more than 5 minutes away from the our hotel. The street address is 100 Chief Joanna Blvd which is on the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation property. This is a totally new development that has just recently opened within the last several months.

We are not big time Casino visitors however we do enjoy occasional visits and we have been reasonably lucky at most. Casinos can be a lot of fun but there are limits and you have to acknowledge that not everyone is a winner...however, if you stick within your limits you should have an enjoyable experience....win or lose.

Everything about the Grey Rock Casino is brand new and gives the impression that everyone is totally welcome. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. They will do everything possible to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. The machines are new and everything is spotlessly clean. At present, you will find that this operation has only about 100 slot machines. The pay outs are relative to the average at other maritime casinos. This operation is taking baby steps and learning that friendly and courteous staff is a most important asset. They make you feel at home and remind you that you are really "Number one". I have the feeling that if everything works out the management will consider bigger and better things....as they have ample room to expand.

So far they have set up a small restaurant area where you can purchase light fare. We tried the hamburger with fries and what a surprise....very tasty and enough to feed a lumberjack. I am sure that in the future great things will take place at this casino. At present it provides jobs and entertainment for the locals....the sky is the limit for future considerations. With that in mind we wish the Management and Staff all the very best and having said that we would be pleased to recommend your establishment for all to enjoy. Good luck to you and to all that visit the "GREY ROCK"
