The choice of food is easy for most North American people. They have a good Happy Hour.

If you are looking for a deli experience, this is not the place. It has more of a bar atmosphere than that of a restaurant, to be expected perhaps in a town best known as a ski resort. Overly loud music did not help, but the staff did turn it down when requested. What does one eat at Moe's ? Smoked meat of course, though the menu does include a good variety of other choices. The smoked meat may be ordered lean, medium, or fat, according to your taste - I had the medium and it was juicy, flavourful and quite lean. Being as much a gourmand as a gourmet, I ordered the giant sandwich ... and it was ! A heaping serving, there must have been a good half pound or more of meat. The rye bread on which the sandwich came was not as fresh as it could have been, the fries were good, but there was no bowl of kosher dills - only a slice to accompany the platter. You just have to have lots of dills to really enjoy a smoked meat sandwich !!
Our waiter was very personable, good-humoured, and did a fine job of looking after us, although he had it easy ... we all ordered smoked meat sandwiches. The regular ones were more than enough for a normal appetite, but I would recommend the giant one - it comes in at about $15, only $2 more than the regular, and has twice as much meat.
All in all, Moe's is OK for a sandwich, but is more bar than deli.

Not only did we not get an authentic tasting Montreal style old fashionned smoke meat sandwich and kosher dill pickles on the platter that distinguishes Montreal delies. The so called manager- owner argued with us and denied the fact and would not reimburse our meal. Obviously, we cannot recommend this restaurant as an authentic Montreal style delie, nor will we ever go there again. As for the ambiance, obviously when a manager-owner argues with customers, it's long out the door.

How can you go wrong with a Moes smoked meat sandwich and a cold Molson Dry?
