Ottawa, Canada

Busy spot.

The room seems to have been remodeled since our last stay.

We had the one bedroom suite. Excellent maid service and a clean room. Really tiny toilet though?

No problems, except management please supply a scissors and a pizza cutter.

Lovely outside terrace and poo/hot tub area. Parking is tight but that is expected.

The breakfast had been cheapened since last year, awful sausages, fake bacon, no potatoes but cheap beans, scrambled eggs wannabe. No strawberries or blueberries. The jams ( better at McDonald's) are poor quality as is the peanut butter ( Jiff? where's the Kraft or Smucker's).

Fake orange juice, more like Tang. The bagels are 'Giant Tiger' supermarket quality. C'mon this is Quebec, where are the Montreal style bagels?

You might want to spend a few bucks and have breakfast elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Marriott on July 10th-July 11th. Our room was so spacious, we had a good size room with an ensuite, and a separate living room with a comfy sofa and a T.V. There was a tiny but functional kitchenette with a microwave a mini sink, a toaster, a mini fridge, a closet with an iron and ironing board, and plenty of storage for clothes. It's like a home away from home! Breakfast buffet is included and there was a good variety of food including a waffle making station. Coffee or tea available all day. We used the under ground parking which is $14/day. We were right next to the pedestrian village so we just walked down to the cabriolet and took a ride up. We were a little disappointed that the pool area was under going some construction maintenance but we didn't let it ruin our stay. I did notice that the pool is smaller than it appears in the photos and it can get busy. Wifi is free. We tried 2 restaurants: Le Shack and Pizzateria, loved the meat lasagna and the tiramisu!! If you had a lot of money to spend, there are many activities to do in the area. We came once before when our kids were very young, lots for them to do. We just happened to be there during the Blues Festival, we enjoyed the entertainment very much!! Over all it was a lovely stay, I would recommend The Marriott any day! Book with confidence!

This hotel is right in the pedestrian village, which means you can leave your vehicle in the underground parkade ($14 per night). Parking stalls are tight. But that’s to be expected in most mountain resorts.

We were able to get early check in, which we really appreciate.

We had a studio suite, and found the room small for a studio, the “kitchen” counter is small, but we only needed a fridge, and microwave.

Room we were in had another room next to us. So you have to enter thru the main door, and behind that door, there’s 2 rooms. If you have noisy neighbours that keeps on slamming their door when they enter/exit can make it for a long stay.

We did find the hotel to be dated, not as modern as some suggested. However room was clean, & bed was comfy.

Breakfast in the morning was good, plenty of options, and lots of tables to sit at.

We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub, but you can waive at the gondola passengers that travels above you, while your sitting in the tub.

They do have coin operated washer/dryer in the hotel, it’s on the 2nd floor.

Staff was ok, would say 75% of them were friendly, 25% was meh.

The location is great, very close and convenient to get to the slope. Room is suite so our son can sleep on the pull-out sofa in another room. There is a small kitchen in the suite if you want to cook. Hot breakfast is included. It was our second visit to this hotel. Ski lift tickets are not as crazy as in the US. Overall good value for a great ski vacation. We will go back next season.

Everything about this place was great. The staff were very nice and the room was fantastic. A hot breakfast is included which was really great for our kids. It is close to restaurants and a couple of parks. The only thing was the underground parking spots were very tight for a pick up truck.
