Heading to Mont Tremblant and Pedestrian Village? Looking for activities beyond the slopes? Look no further than the Activity Centre for your winter or summer excursions.
We needed a break from our usual diving/tropical/beach routine, so we headed north to visit our lovely Canadian neighbors, and just about a 90 minute drive from Montreal lies Mont Tremblant, a premiere ski resort.
Activity Centre provides excellent options for outdoorsy types including the ziplines and aerial games (~$45/pp which we highly recommend participating at night - activates all of your senses and maes you feel like a half-rock climber, half- ), snowshoeing/hiking (~$53/pp where the vagabond-like guide takes you through the forest and demonstrates inuit fire-making techniques ... if you like outward bound, you'll enjoy the snowshoe/hike), dogsledding, ice climbing, and a plethora of activities that are too numerous to name here. Give yourself/family about 2-3 hours per activity.
Activity Centre staff are extremely helpful and positive, bilingual (more than likely polyglots as well), always offering alternative solutions, even when acitivities are closed for the season and/or due to inclement (or rather lack thereof) weather conditions. We even booked our Scandinaves Diable experience through the Centre which is well worth it after a day on the slopes. Two words: steam bath.
Their office is conveniently located below the Auberge St Bernard and right at the heart of the ski action and a couple of good bars like Le Shack. You are welcome to book ahead of time but walk-ins receive equal, professional treatment.
On our next trip (summer and winter), we will book a multitude of activities through Activity Centre due to their professionalism and options beyond the slopes, but everything nature-oriented.
