Booked the 2pm Essential Lunenburg Tour on my phone at around 11am the same day. Not sure if you need to book further ahead on weekends or in the high season. The meeting place was easy to find with a sign in front of the landmark academy building but be warned that this is a significant uphill walk so leave extra time. We arrived early and visited the public library in the building, which has restrooms. The starting point is strategic as the tour itself winds downhill towards the water. Lots of interesting information on the local architectural styles, both homes and churches, and the history of the settlement, without being too long. Guide was a gentleman who grew up in Lunenburg and also leads tours internationally so lots of knowledge and experience to draw on.

100% recommend this tour. Liz was EXCELLENT!!! her knowledge and presentations were so entertaining. We had a birthday and she even sneaked in a happy bday song with our group.

Amazing tour of the architecture and beautiful churches around Lunenburg. Started at the top of the hill by the academy and ended right by the water. Gave me a good sense of the history and lay of the land. June was fantastic!

Our tour guide June was very informative, funny and great at answering all questions we had. Boy, did she know her dates!! There were so many for the history of Lunenburg. We couldn't believe the hour (+) was gone so fast! We would definitely recommend this tour! 10/10 👍
