“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2011

Our room was above a popular bar and we could hear noise from the bar in our room until it closed. To male matters worse, the patrons would sit outside under our windows to talk (loudly), smoke and drink. Though the room was nice, I can not recommend it.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit and for allowing us the opportunity to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.
The evening of your stay was also the return of the Tall Ship Picton Castle to its home port after its yearlong global circumnavigation. It is a lively and exciting time in Lunenburg and one of the rare occasions when our restaurant can become over jubilant.
We are very sorry that any of our guests had to endure such disruption as was mentioned in your review but are sincerely happy that we were able to resolve this issue with you .
Thank you again and best wishes.

Our family stayed in #13 a third floor walk up suit with views three ways. The king size bed was in it's own room. The kids slept on a fold out sofa. Very good mattresses. The charm of the street was off the charts. COLORFUL paint jobs and the buildings were mostly from the 1800's. Who cares if I could hear the tv in the next room, the plumbing was noisy and the shelves in the fridge shelves rattled when it stops. I didn't even mind no blackout blinds. The view is great, the buildings, Resteraunts and shops are charming. A thunderstorm sounded incredible on the bay and hearing a fog horn going was new to us from Alberta. The room was a one block walk in a downpour to a three story walk up but we laughed all the way. Parking was best below by the harbor. $3 bring a camera!

This inn was a breath of fresh air after arriving from outdated, overpriced hotels on Cape Breton Island. The location on the quaint main street in this quaint little town is amazing. The back of the hotel overlooks the harbor and the view from our room was breathtaking. We could sit in the alcove and watch the boats in the harbor and the activity along the waterfront. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The inn sits on top of a restaurant/tavern but there was no noise. We stayed in the Bluenose Room and it was very quiet. We got a great price and it was our favorite hotel in Nova Scotia.

We stayed in the Bluenose room and it was very comfortable. The bed was the best we slept on in 5 weeks of motorbike riding. The room was very clean and just so relaxing with a great view.
Staff was good and helpful and we enjoyed the relaxing at the bar.
Great location in a great town. It was JUST so relaxing.

Spent 2 nights in the Inn which was very comfortable. We got a great off season rate for 2 nights and supper. The bed was super soft with great pillows and duvet. The room took a few hours to warm up when we got there but was fine for the rest of our stay. The restaurant downstairs was excellent with a great variety of tasty dishes. The scallops, seafood chowder and squash soup were great. There is a nice view of the harbour and lots of little shops for browsing closeby. The fisheries museum is across the street. The only negative is the lack of parking on the street even in off season. We had to carry luggage from the lower street but otherwise an excellent experience.

We stayed at the Brigantine Inn in Lunnenburg, NS for one night as we were travelling the Lighthouse route. The inn is facing the water and warf. We had a delightful view from the bay window in our room. The inn is located within walking distance of the historical area, shopping and restraunts. We enjoyed our stay. Parking is just infront of the inn and cost only $3/day.

The hotel is very well located, near docks of Lunenburg, where you can see boats and the Bluenose 2. There's no breakfast. Lots of place in the rooms.
