My wife and I rent a cottage way up northern Ontario almost every year. To cut the driving in two we stop at Hart's Country Inn for a night.
The Inn is quite secluded and peaceful. The buildings, rooms and property are super clean.
Our hosts Kelly Hart and his wife Dana do all they can for us to enjoy our stay.
I recommend the Hart's Country Inn without hesitation as you will also I'm sure.
p.s We enjoyed the free continental breakfast.

My wife and I just got home after spending two comfortable nights at Hart's Country Inn. Our room was small but looked like it had recently been redecorated with new furnishings, fresh paint, and new bathroom fixtures. We also enjoyed the free WiFi and continental breakfast that was included in the room rate. Speaking of which, we found Hart's Country Inn to be a great value, especially when compared to the other hotels/motels in the area that allowed pets to stay.
We have already recommended this motel to our friends and will stay here again next time we visit Muskoka.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are small but up-to-date with new mattresses, fresh paint and linens. The air conditioner is new, runs well and quietly. The towels are clean and plush. The linens are hung out to dry and smell lovely. The only down side of the room is that the floors are noisy when you walk on them and the small fridge froze my fresh veggies. This is a great place to stay for couples. Their televisions are huge and modern. Unfortunately for a family with children there is no play equipment for the kids and the pool that needs some work is not heated, there are no picnic tables and no bbq's that I could see. The only tree I could see anywhere near the motel is a big pine beside the pool. In behind the motel is a cabin used by snow-mobilers and in behind there is a forest. There are no shrubs or gardens besides the one in front of the office. There are several "rent your own storage" units on both sides of the motels open fields. There is lots of wide open space for the kids to run. The breakfast room is gorgeous. It has a table with four chairs and a couch that seats two. You can make the most amazing coffee and this I loved most. As a mom I'm thrifty so I found it a bit expensive. It's the perfect place for romantic couples to stay. This place is a work in progress...towards the better.

My husband, myself, brother and sister in law had the pleasure of staying at this motel last weekend July 31st. We found the host and hostess very accommodating. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent time at the pool but unfortunately it was too cold to go for a swim. Very relaxing just sitting around and enjoying ourselves. All guests we met were very friendly and were enjoying their stay also. I would go back there in a minute as it was a place to make you feel at home. Also a lot of choices for the continental breakfast and the rates were very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a good time and just be their selves.

Stayed at the Winhara overnight in August. Newly renovated rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. Breakfast room is a great idea for a quick bite before moving on. Close to the highway and easy to get to. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.

Being originally from the general area, we find it a convenient place to stay for travelling around the area. You can't beat the location -- minutes to all of the attractions in the area.
The new breakfast room is a welcome addition -- starts your day off right!!
The hosts are phenomenal -- feel like i have known them forever!!
