Description: We are an English tea shop situated on Muskoka Wharf with a wonderful view of Lake Muskoka - right by the famous Steamships. We offer a variety of lunches including quiches, beef stew in a Yorkshire pudding, chicken pot pie, ploughmans lunch with English cheeses and of course sandwiches. Our most popular being the grilled brie and cranberry. We also offer an Afternoon Tea served on a two plated tier or High Tea served on a 3 plated tier. Details of our full menu can be found on the website. We serve wine and beer in the restaurant but not on the patio.

“great teahouse at the wharf”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2012

The building interior is very attractive, the service is great and the food is extremely good, and served hot when supposed to and cold when supposed to be. the selection of teas is great especially the Queen Elizabeth.
You are at the bay where the sequin goes out in the summer time and it is a great place to go for lunch or afternoon tea. I have never gone for dinner

“High tea a must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2011

Lovely, quaint little gem on the water in Gravenhurst. Three ladies had the high tea a few weeks ago. The view on Lake Muskoka, watching the steamships come and go was timeless, as was the afternoon tea with an assortment of finger sandwiches, cakes, scones and Clotted Devon cream, and excellent selection of teas or coffee. Simply divine, will be returning.

“charming little tea room with excellent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2011

We arrived for a late lunch and found the place packed, always a good sign. They managed to squeeze our party of 6 in to a table for 4. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and freshly made. We especially liked the home made lemonade and limeade. The food was all quite healthy and the portions a generous size. One of our party was gluten free and he found several options and they do have gluten free bread available. We took home some butter tarts, which were also perfect. Highly recommend this charming tea room as good value for money, with healthy and appetizing food, and very good customer service, all with a lovely view of the Muskoka Wharf.

“Savour the moment..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

The Blue Willow Tea Room overlooks Muskoka Bay on Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst, Ontario. While enjoying your luncheon or dinner your view captures the historic Segwen and Winona Mail Ships, which are now available to tour Lakes Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph. The bright blue waters of the lake compliment the fabulous fall colors. After your meal at the Blue Willow Tea Room you are only a short walk to the ships.

The Victoria style tea room is bright and inviting in an expected blue and white decor with a menu to satisfy all visitors. All their multigrain breads, desserts, soups etc are made on the premises. This was a particular favorite place for my Mother where she would ensure she enjoyed at least one of the gooey buttertarts contained by the flakiest pastry. The scones offered last week were the tasty traditional ones with Devonshire cream or the decadent cranberry white chocolate variety - the blueberry scones should not be missed either! The cranberries are local as the cranberry capital on Ontario is only a few miles north which is fun to visit. The selection of traditional teas ensure that there is one for every palate. The staff are friendly and take the time to strike up a discussion. And if want to take some of the homemade shortbread cookies, buttertarts or other scrumptious baked goods along with many other items from the menu, then they have a counter at the front of the store that makes that a possibility. They also offer gift selections of teapots, tea caddies and tea books However I would encourage you to enjoy a table by the window and slow down time a wee bit.

I would advise you call for reservations if you plan to go on a weekend so you won't be disappointed!!!

High tea is a real treat but all the food was some of the best we've had. Will be back. Enjoy!
