Owner description: We are the oldest continuing operating Drive In theatre in all of Canada having opened in 1952. We are unlike any other Drive In experience in the country. Nestled among many indigenous trees like pine and birch, we are unique in that we have a cement movie screen that as built on top of a giant rock that is located on the theatre property. But just not any rock, the screen was built upon Canadian Shield Granite Rock! We have a kid's playground with many of the original play equipment including a giant sand pit filled with toys. We still play cartoons to start the night, vintage intermission snack bar clips and do draws for prizes every night we are open. We are still the ultimate Drive In experience filled with fun, families and nostalgia!

Went on a cool summer night with two children (5 and 10). Felt like the "good 'ol days" with the big screen, snack bar, playground and perfect screen. Kids had a blast and kept saying how awesome it was. So glad that our children got to experience this sort of thing like we did as kids.
Took the advice from others and bought the nets from the dollar store. Tied them to the back of our van with the hatch open. Kept most of the mosquitoes out. Bring bug spray if you are outside!
Hope to go back again very soon.

You will not be disappointed coming here! You get to see more than one film a night for approx 5$ a person, the popcorn and food is way cheaper and better than at the cinema! It's good for kids and adults alike- thoroughly enjoyed my evening and will be in attendance again soon!

This drive-in is run so nicely! The ticket guy is super friendly and offers suckers to the kids (asks first, too)! It's nice and clean. You can't have your car on to enjoy the AC which is understandable but annoying. Thankfully we read about the heavy mosquitoes ahead of time and use the TripAdvisor review suggestion to run to the Dollar Store before the drive-in and buy four 'window screen nets' at $1.25 each to cover the windows. No tape required, it's a 10 second job, just open the window, open the door, drape the net over the window and close the door on it. Next time we would buy a screen for the sunroof too (it was so hot, more air was needed!) Awesome suggestion!

They make useful announcements before and after the movie. One thing we were not prepared for was how to turn on the radio without using a key, we had to Google that when we go there as we have a keyless car.

Fantastic, fun outing if you're prepared. Lots of younger kids were playing on the playground before the movie started. Be prepared for outhouses (Johnny on the Spot) for washrooms.
