My favourite place we've ever stayed in Canada! Log cabin perfect homely and clean. Lovely location, almost didn't want to recommend it so we could keep it secret but it deserves a fab review!! We will definitely be planning a return trio thank you to Greg and Marian x

After turning off route 5 follow the track until you pick up the Cedar cabins signs.
We had cabin No3 and it was comfortable, spacious and well equiped with a fridge freezer and every utensil you need including some basic spices and cooking oil.
The ensuit bathroom can be accsesed from both the living room and bedroom with piping ot
water when you need it. It is so quiet and dark sleeping isn't a problem.
There is a communal BBQ should you wish to use it and plenty of chairs and loungers in the garden close to the parking area to sit on.
This is a lovely cosey cabin in a very quiet and remote spot and is ideallysuited to those seeking peace and quite.
Tip:
The Safe Market Grocery Store located on Young Road after past the overthe river has everything for self catering. Go to Wells Grey Provincial Park it is full of water falls and black bears, we saw 4 bears!
We spent 2 nights at Cedar Haven & were all very impressed. We had the large cabin between 4 adults & 2 dogs and had plenty of room. The cabin was very clean and well cared for and had every amenity needed. The gardens were beautiful and I loved watching the hummingbirds buzzing around the feeders.
The owners were really friendly and stopped to chat when they saw us, telling us about the area and how the cabins came about.
Cedar Haven is a short drive from the main town area, but to be honest, we chose to buy food and cook / eat at the cabin as the surroundings were so beautiful. Highly recommended - would stay here again.

Just outside of Clearwater, but easy enough to find. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins, which had a stove top (no oven) and a bar fridge. It was immaculate, spacious, a comfortable bed, nice sofa, satellite TV. It did not have wifi but you could get wifi while sitting outside the owner's house (and being buzzed by a humming bird - being Australian, I thought it was a large insect at first). We visited the falls in the local park, which were well worth a visit. There is a small supermarket in Clearwater town centre, and a liquor store. One of the best places we have stayed on our trip.
We love the hummingbirds too and are always sad to see them go in the fall. Hope to see you at Cedar Haven Cabins again soon!
We have stayed 3 nights with Greg and Marian to visit Wells Gray Park. When we first arrived we were not sure if this was the place for us because the property is not that close to town. But when we went to town later that they it seemed that there was not much to do anyway so that wasn't a big loss. The cabins are a 10 minute drive from Clearwater.
The cabins are surrounded by nature and all you here at night is.... nothing. We were woken up each morning by the singing of the birds and the morning sun. The cabin was spacious (we stayed in one of the smaller cabins) and clean and is fully equipped with everything you need; a kitchen (with stove, microwave, coffee maker), a couch, television with all kinds of channels and a big comfy bed. We only met Greg and he was very nice and welcoming and asked us every day if we would need anything or just made a conversation.
We absolutely loved it and rank this cabin as one of our bests stays during our vacation in Canada. It was so peaceful and quiet, but on the other hand close enough to town if you need anything. The Wells Gray Park was easily accessible and a place you just have to visit when you're in Canada, we enjoyed it very much.

We spent 1 night in one of the cabins before visiting Wells Gray Provincial park. The cabin is beautiful, clean and very cozy. It is in a very quiet area very close to the wood. I would definitely recommend it to everyone for a pleasant and and quite stay in touch with nature.
