What an awesome time we had at this beautiful resort right on the lake! A wonderful cabin with amenities+++. Pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, everything we needed. A wonderful fireplace kept us toasty warm. An outdoot firepit was ours for the use as well. So clean and so comfortable! Our hosts, Penny and Rick, were amazing. We can't wait to come back again, glamping or camping, to this slice of paradise. They have cabins, RV hookups, camping, and more.More
Here Ric and his wife Penny have created a refuge away from all the city noises and the usual tourist entertainment stress. The quite lake slows you down immediately. There are all the facilities you need on the campground, they might not be all new, but very clean and well kept.
Ric and Penny are very friendly and helpful.
We can most certainly recommend the place to all those who are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay on a highly romantic site.

It truly is a place to get away from it all; on shores of Puntzi lake, the stars are amazing and the call of the loons are mesmerizing.
My second stay here for work. Bunkhouse is so comfortable. Leather sofas. Full kitchen. TV. internet. So clean.
Also. Amazing food. I came in last minute, I was welcomed with smiles, amazing dinner, and a comfy bed. These folks go the extra mile. I recommend anyone to stay at Barney’s for work or play.

I finally had a chance to visit this resort since the new owners, Rick and Penny Hlady, took over. It's a beautiful spot and well maintained by Rick and Penny. Fishing was good and except for a bit of a wind storm the second evening, the short visit was wonderful. There has been many improvements made the past couple years and speaking with the new owners, there is lots more to come. They are obviously excited about the plans they have to continue to improve and expand. Their energy was refreshing to see. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away into some peace and quiet in a beautiful part of the province.
It was great to see you up here. It’s a project of love getting the property up to our standards but it’s coming along nicely. We hope to see you next year for a longer visit
2nd trip up to Barneys, this time stayed in cabin with wood burning stove, last was gas fireplace. Either keep cool nights cozy. Cabins have everything, linens, all kitchen needs, dishes, etc. Both times cabins were spotless, comfortable and quiet !
Showers and washrooms were very clean, new paint, which is important to us.
We didn't use the boats but others were and catching fish.Brand new dock too.
The RV spots were large compared to some we've seen.
Camp hosts Penny and Rick were very accommodating with anything needed,

It was a pleasure having you stay with us, you and your family are always welcome st Barney's lakeside resort. It's a bit of a drive from Vancouver but if your coming for more than 3 days it is well worth it. The Chilcotin is a beautiful place.
