I was looking for a place to get away from work, daily stress and really just to relax and i came across Cumbuco and sunset beach hotel, i took a gamble and the odds favoured me and therefore mesmorizing me into moving permanently here next year. It has it all, low season where you can unwind in peaceful harmony and highseason where you meet so many great people who are travelers , kiters and families. The only down side was that there was a lot of rain in february when i was there as that is rain season however it only rains for short periods of time. therefore i reccomend to all!

If you ever thought having a hotel on the beach with spacious rooms and a sun that shine all year round, Cumbucu is the place for you. Sunset beach hotel was a great place to relax and mellow out either on the comfortable Brazilazy or on the warm sandy beach where your body sinks into the soft sand. However why this hotel over all others? Well the answer is simple. It's further away from the town so you never get all the loud music that stops you from sleeping, however it is closer enough to walk in and get a feel of this remote beach town. The staff at the hotel are very welcoming and kind and try to help you with anything you need. The garden area is spacious to relax if you feel like you need a bit of something else besides sand under your feet.
If you are a  kiter there is a pump room to blow up your kite for those fabulously windy days to carve some grooves in the sea.
The breakfast and food in general is great and everything you are getting is definitely better than what you are paying for. The value for money here is excellent and I am definitely coming back here next year.
What more could you want when you are five meters away from the beach with a huge bed facing the shore watching the sunset while sipping on a cocktail next to the shimmering swimming pool.
You'll be silly not to have stayed here!

Just wanting to give a huge deserved thank you to all of the sunset bech staff for making my stay so pleasant. the hotel was going refurbishment but nonetheless, it seemed almost finished and looks like its going to be one of the nicest hotels in the area.. All from the stunning views, exceptional hygiene and great food made my stay an unforgettable experience. Thanks so much Sunset

After reading the great reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to book this hotel. The hotel is in renovation, construction! The entrance of the hotel is a mess, not really an easy task to get in the hotel, no path indicated and rocks all the way.
First they wanted to give us a room, which looked more like the house of my grand ma, then anything else. We refused this room. Then they gave us a room with a nice view on the construction site :-(. This room was nicer and larger (best room of the 3 we saw), but the shower was dirty, with black bugs in it. Anyway the next day we asked to change the room to a normal beach view room. The view, the balcony were amazing, but once more the room was small, stiffy and in a very bad shape. The shower was the worst, the water was not really hot, dizzling only and muddy old.
All in all, i must say that this hotel needs some major refurbishment!
One good thing was that the staff were very helpfull and friendly!
