For a motel this isn't bad and it's a good price. It's right in the village which is great for access to food, a walk, and the ferry itself. There was no air con but we were given a fan. The bathroom was really good- clean and undamaged- and there was a tv. No high life living here but a good stop.

This is an older motel, but very quaint and comfortable. The room was very clean and the beds inviting. There was a small refrigerator and even a small fireplace that turned on with a switch. The location was perfect for walking around town, to eat, and convenient for the ferry. Perfect place to see Horseshoe Bay and catch a ferry!

This was a really nice motel, they have totally upscale it, very modern touches, I was impressed at the upgrades they have done.
The girl down at the desk was very helpful with us getting our WiFi to work, I found this place really charming.

This is an old hotel that we chose because of its convenience to the ferry. It's fairly dingy - the beds are clean and comfortable but the rooms in general are fairly tired. It was also difficult to get in and out of the shower because the edges of the bath are very high and the glass shower screen limits access.
The real drawback was the noise. The walls are thin so you can hear the tv from next door, and the rooms are right next to the car park and road. There is also a glass panel in the door which lets a lot of light in.
Overall, ok if you are catching the early ferry but otherwise try somewhere else.

This Motel is like visiting Grandmas house! It looks old in the rooms, smells old but it will give you a great night sleep on super clean soft linens and is so convenient to the ferry and a great halfway point to stop over on your way to Whistler. soft fluffy white towels and eco toiletries are great. Generous size fridge and microwave if you need it. Great value for money and the staff are very accommodating. Horseshoe bay is a small but busy little village with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Room Tip: top floor 2nd from the end will give you an ocean view.

I think this motel is over priced probably due to its excellent location in Horseshoe Bay near to the ferry terminal. On entry the room was dark & dingy, not particularly clean as had to clean coffee machine before use & bath room needed more attention. Bed was comfortable & clean. Electric kept tripping as to many things plugged into one extension lead. Room was cold, no controllable heating only a small electric fan convector. Parking right outside room was good. No breakfast included so at 178 Canadian dollars thought is was over priced.

Room Tip: First floor would give better views

Horseshoe Bay is a really great little town that exceeded our expectations. We were expecting a quick overnight in a non-descript place, but it is a wonderful, vibrant village where you can have good food, good drink and enjoy the ferries coming in and out of Horseshoe Bay. The mountains surrounding the Bay are spectacular. The Horseshoe Bay Motel - which seems to be the only motel in town - is a perfect place to stay prior to an early morning ferry ride to Vancouver Island. Our room was small, but beautifully appointed with antique furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice local guy suggested we take the ferry to Bowman Island for dinner, a quick 20 minute ferry ride and it was wonderful! The only downside was other guests below us who sat outside and talked very loudly quite late. We finally had to ask them to be quiet which they did. Super convenient and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling through Vancouver to Vancouver Island.

Room Tip: Second floor, but there is no elevator so you will need to carry your suitcase up narrow stairs. No...
