From the minute you step inside, Whitesails gives an impression of clean, bright, and spacious! This facility is in the daylight basement of a private home on a quiet street with little traffic, backed by woods, and surrounded by gardens (a bit of which come inside via lovely fresh flower arrangements). The bed linens smell TERRIFIC and are consistently crisp and clean (we've visited 3 times so far); the living room has good lighting, comfortable sofas, books, board games, CD/stereo, and TV with a selection of videos. The full kitchen has a microwave and coffeemaker, with coffee on hand for use any time. The host, Carol McNaughton, is very accommodating and will bring breakfast as early as you need it if you want to make an early departure in the morning. Both she and her husband Jerry have been known to go above and beyond the call of duty in caring for their guests, which makes Whitesails feel like a true home away from home.
